The politics of heroin: CIA complicity in the global drug trade
Found an old BBC article with an alleged quote from a New York Times editorial defending Henry Kissinger's role in Operation Condor. What's odd is that I can't find the original source anywhere. Wiki and all other references point to the BBC article.

Possibly the Wiki fact checkers inferred it was the NY Times, but may actually be "The Times" - London; printed but never digitized. Who knows.
The Financial Times have had Henry Kissinger's obituary prepared for so long that one of the people who wrote it died in 1999.

"It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." – Thomas Sowell
