So many questions. Shin Bet is on the hot seat. A spectacular fail. Egyptian intel, who has reach into Gaza. The Same. Qatari intel, they are the conduits to Hamas for aid. Huge miss. Were penetrations of Hamas of multiple services all compromised? Hamas CounterIntel is that good? Something sure does smell, really bad.
Something I've noticed in the western world the past 4 years is that the same leaders who preach safety to us and we must dump another $100 billion of taxpayer money into high tech surveillance to keep us safe, often fails, does not work as designed, was a scam to begin with, but politicians already got their 10%. And now the Israeli leadership has severely underestimated the effectiveness of the entire region’s low tech CI/HUMINT capabilities.
