Me too. I usually make sandwiches out of it, but hash is not out of bounds, and it can be worked into a variety of other things. Grace won't touch the stuff, so when it's here, it's mine, all mine!
It's preserved with "corns" of potassium nitrate ("saltpeter"), hence the name "corned beef".
