Looks like FOX news will go the way of CNN as Tucker no longer has a segment .
 I have thought more than once he would be outed for his stance on government corruption.
Looks like Chucky of the Senate put pressure on Fox to Terminate Tucker.

The reality is that all these networks(owned only by 2 or 3 parent companies) don't need actual revenue to exist, they just need to be subsidized by those that want to pay for a narrative.

It comes down to who is really writing the checks and what they want, the rest be damned.

I reckon Fox must have gone suicidal. Carlson was the top presenter at Fox, and is history there now. They put that dumbassed bootlicker Kilmeade in his place this evening, so I clicked the channel and watched 1990's sitcoms instead. They made more sense. Kilmead is at about the same level, maybe just a single notch below, Hannity. I'd rather watch paint dry than sit through an hour of either of them bitching, whining, and name-calling without being able to present any evidence to back up either of their inane Neocon opinions.

Not only was Carlson their top presenter, but it seems he also carried their streaming service "Fox Nation", and without his input, it will most likely wither on the vine and go the same way that CNN's failed streaming service went. I noticed this evening that they're pushing some bullshit "Hatfields and mcCoys - the feud that never ends" crap on Fox Nation. I'm kin to the Hatfields, and sit right now just a few miles from the epicenter of that feud, and I can tell you for fact that the trailer they showed for it is utter bullshit. that feud has been over and done for over 100 years now.

They seem to not be sending their best any more.

Fox says they "agreed to part ways", but I've not heard Carlson's take on that yet. I know Friday he said he'd be back Monday, but come Monday he was a historical figure at Fox. Doesn't sound much like an "agreement" to me - sounds more like he got blindsided. I reckon I'll sit back and wait a while to hear what comes out of it.

It's all on Greg Gutfeld's shoulders now I guess. If he can't carry Fox, then Fox will simply fade away. I lost most of my faith in Fox when Neil Cavuto cut Trump's press secretary off in mid-sentence. Haven't watched much on Fox since then, and no Cavuto at all. Out of the 3 hours or so I did keep it on for background noise, one of those hours is gone now... but it's not a total loss. There are always 1960's TV show re-runs to keep tuned in to!

Isn't it strange that the news is about the news? The MSM learned that palace intrigue -an act that
is supposed to hold the plebeians' attention and a frequent use in social-media, can generate a type
of interest that assists in keeping their failing trade in the public eye.

What I find fascinating is how a form of entertainment -which was once taken as a serious source of
information-gathering, is still seen as something that merits concern! Tucker Carlson's presentation is
pleasurable to many and his form of audience-impacting is represented by his income, the actual reason
why he enjoyed his position at Fox News.

Journalists worked hard over many years to move their trade from the working and middle-class zones
to the exclusive establishment and with it, allowed the glow of celebritism to taint what small amount of
integrity that remained.

These days it seems whatever is going on around the world often takes second-fiddle to unhappy news
presenters and old Reporters dying. Theatre demands walk-ons and main characters to participate, but
they do recognise their own when they fall off the stage!

Guessing the prime reason Tucker was shown the door was his constant questioning of how much taxpayer money was being used to prolong the war in Ukraine and what the end goal was. That just couldn't be tolerated any longer.

When AOC, The View, the Pentagon, and big pharma are all celebrating your ousting you were probably doing the Lord’s work.

There certainly is a lot of celebration going on in the left wing circles you mentioned, like the View and the Pentagon, but I think their celebration may be a bit premature. If Carlson comes back as an independent - and why wouldn't he? - then he will have much more power, and be far harder to control with the usual control mechanisms, than before.

IMO this is a great video about how Tucker crossed the line and was booted off FOX News but the video is much more than that as it goes into the uni-system that is being forced upon all of us. Thought provoking for those who like to think as some of how this world works is exposed..

All of this is way above my pay grade however I think FOX (besides trying to smear him) is still paying him under his old contract which means he can not do anything until the current contract expires... Just what has been speculated to keep him off the air and quite at least until the election for president is over..

Patrick Bet-David, CEO of online content company Valuetainment, offered former Fox News host Tucker Carlson a $100 million deal over five years, plus a board seat at the company, in a high-profile courting attempt on Tuesday.
“Dear Tucker, I’ll get right to the point. We want you to partner with us in what we feel is a noble and necessary effort to define the future of media,” David, who also hosts the Valuetainment brand’s podcast, wrote in the opening of the letter of intent posted on Twitter on May 2.
The letter outlines David’s offer to Carlson: $100 million over five years, an equity stake in Valuetainment, a position as the President of Valuetainment, a board seat, and other content Carlson may be interested in covering.
“What else? We are all ears,” David wrote. “Our convictions about freedom, liberty, and truth run deep and we believe we are the absolute right fit for you and America.”
With a motto of “to enlighten, entertain and empower,” Valuetainment currently publishes its content, including podcasts and interviews, on YouTube and other social media platforms. Its YouTube channel has over 4 million subscribers, and its social media platforms, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, have a following of over 10 million. The brand’s podcast, PBD Podcast, ranks 12th on Spotify in the platform’s business category as of writing.
The brand’s podcast has hosted prominent figures in various fields, including the late basketball superstar Kobe Bryant, clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson, current presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, celebrity scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and investor Robert Kiyosaki. The company’s most-watched YouTube video, featuring an interview with a mafia boss, has over 18 million views.
Valuetainment’s Tuesday offer joins a number of media companies—as the first public one—that are reportedly considering or have extended invites to Carlson to join their roster after the top-rated TV personality parted ways with his former employer last Monday.
In an interview with talk show host Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, David, a refugee who fled from Iran to America at the age of 12, said Carlson should work with him because he has “the vision in place, the cause in place, and is a true believer on how great of a country America is that is worth fighting for.”
David also said that he sees Carlson as someone who truly believes in a cause.
“You know what’s the best indicator to find out who was all about money and who was all about a true vision and a cause? The moment people make money—watch how they react,” he told Kelly. “When people make money, most people slow down—it was all about money. But when you make money and accolades, and when you get stopped in the streets, at the airport—everywhere you go … and you still get up in the morning with the same fire in your belly to go out there to do the fight—it was never about money for you.”
“There are very few people left in America left at that level who have made the money that’s about a true cause—I think Tucker’s one of them.”
Valuetainment’s main website posted the offer on its home page on Tuesday.

The offer, on its surface, stacks up in the same order of magnitude as Carlson’s reported salary at Fox, which, according to an article published by Forbes in April, was between $15 million and $20 million a year.
“While we may not be the biggest media company, we are a new media leader driving into the future to make truth, fair debate, and commentary more accessible, consumable, and protected,” the company’s Monday letter reads.
Sudden Split
Before being dropped by Fox, Carlson’s program “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was one of cable news’s consistently top-rated programs for years and a leading program in the coveted 25–54 demographic.
It ranked as the second most-watched cable television show in 2022, boasting an average of 3.3 million viewers per night.
In March, the program drew the highest audience ratings on cable TV, averaging 3.251 million viewers per show, according to Nielsen data shared by Fox News.

Following its April 24 announcement dropping Carlson, Fox Corporation took a nearly $1 billion hit—around 3 percent—to its market value on the same day, trading at a low of $29.27, adding to its more than 16 percent decline in the last 12 months. Neither Fox News nor Carlson has commented publicly on the separation.
Fox also suffered a ratings loss on Monday night without Carlson. A company spokesperson told Reuters that Fox’s Monday show was still ranked top across the board. He said it grew from the last show hosted by Carlson on Friday, pointing to Nielsen data that showed it pulled in about 2.6 million viewers.

If I was Tucker - and I'm not, so he can do as he damned well pleases - I wouldn't be signing on with ANY other companies at this juncture. He's 52 as I recall, and all he would do by signing on with another company would be to run the clock out under another boss. As we've seen with recent events, other bosses can be pretty fickle and vindictive, and in my estimation there just aren't any percentages in that at this stage of the game.

Instead, I'd start my own media company, so as to be my own boss and beholden to none. No one else to tell me what to do or how to do it. Tucker already knows how to do it, judging by the numbers he brought to Fox and then took away with his departure. He doesn't need to work for another fickle boss - he'd do just fine on his own.

All of these companies making offers to him, while gratifying, are really just in it to appropriate his audience into their own conglomerates. It's not so much Tucker they are after as it is his roughly 3 1/2 million strong audience.

He was making 19.2M per year at Fox, NYT figures notwithstanding - those lyin' word-fudgin' bastards. 20M per year isn't that much of a step up at that level of income, certainly not, to my mind, justification enough to put on a yoke for yet another fickle  boss. Even with the sweetening of the offer with a presidency and board membership, not enough - presidents can be fired, boards can vote you down. Neither of those happen when you run your own company.

Personally, If I already had 100M or so in the bank, an offer to double that at the expense of my creative license would not be enough to phase me or sway me in the least. I know which was I would go, and that way would be into independence, even if it meant a pay cut. The article is correct about one thing - if one is in it for the money, that will show. If Tucker goes for the bucks, then we will see where his loyalties lie, and if he eschews the money to go independent, that, too which tell us a lot about the man beneath the image.

What's more, it will also give us some insight into how he really sees those in his audience - whether they are commodities to be sold, or individuals to be grateful to, shown by giving them more of what they wanted from an independent and non-beholden platform.

Let's run some numbers from the financial side of potentials - if Tucker started his own company he'd bring, let's say for argument, roughly 3 million viewers into it. If he charged a mere $1.67/month ($20.00/year) that would yield an income of 60M/yr, THREE TIMES what this offer extends, while at the same time not giving up his autonomy to another corporate entity. Where the hell is the downside in that?

Once you get close enough to the top of the heap, you actually DO have the potential to have your cake and eat it, too - you just order another cake when that one is gone!

I also found this clip from about 9 hours ago interesting. I guess I may have to step into the 21st century and learn how to navigate "podcasts" so that I can walk away from Fox entirely for "news" content. As it is, I only watch two hours of Fox a day - "The Five" and "Gutfeld!" - but to be honest there really isn't much meat there anymore, anyhow.
