To be honest and candid, I find myself wondering the same thing.

What if, for example, the Dome of the Rock got obliterated, and was blamed on an errant Iranian missile, but was really destroyed by... you can fill in your own blank there.

Another country added to the Iranian hit list: Arash 2 attack drone hit near Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan International Airport this morning. The drone appears to have missed the airport, falling in an open field. Map Location of area hit. A second drone did hit the airport terminal, another landed near a school. The Arash 2 has a 2,000 km strike range and carries a 150 kg warhead.





The Iranian Navy’s home port of Bandar Abbas in Persian Gulf is ablaze this morning, with pillars of smoke rising from the facility after a series of U.S. airstrikes.

I'm really not too worried about outflowing oil getting cut off at Hormuz. Mostly, it just provides an excuse for fat men smoking cigars in dimly lit and smoke-filled rooms to raise their prices... and they're going to use any excuse they can to raise those prices to gather money to themselves. This is just a convenient one for them to use. They're going to do it regardless, any which way they can.

I'm more concerned about incoming food and such to the Gulf States. Saudi Arabia has ports on the est coast they can switch to to bring in food and other imports, which would be unaffected by any Hormuz blockage. The other Gulf States, not so much... but they can probably strike deals with the Saudis, since they are all in the same target zone with a common enemy.

I'm also less worried about the bombing of desalinization plants that folks have been droning on about the possibility of. That falls back to my theory of what happens when you start affecting the survival prospects of people. When you start cutting off water to folks, they get a little testy about that. It could provoke the instant erasure of Iran. Not sure they want to go there.

It's 20% of the region's oil and I really don't know how that translates to Gulf losses, either in $ or in more serious terms. 

I did read somewhere China has enough reserves to weather this storm and, of course, there are those railroads that are available as an alternate means of delivery.

The Saudis and the other allies of the USA may rethink their positions after Iran's latest bombings. They are too close for comfort and the USA seemingly can't or won't stop those missiles. What's next, bombing and destroying all of Saudi's oil assets?

Hey, I'm believing what I see on video, where Iran's many missiles are successfully striking Israel cities and Israel interceptors are failing to stop them.

I think Trump will soon be giving an address to the world that he will stop the onslaught because _________ (insert reason).

I drive an oil truck so seeing that slow down is wild. The prices have been jumping like crazy, but as you said those big wigs are just using it as an excuse for more money. My boss told someone today on the phone don't expect the prices to return to pre Iran conflict anytime soon.

Hormuz blockade threatens Gulf supplies

Kpler data highlight how Gulf supply chains depend on container hubs connected to the Strait of Hormuz. Dubai’s Jebel Ali, the region’s largest container gateway with capacity near 19m TEU, anchors much of this trade, alongside Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia’s Dammam port. While the strait is blocked, vessels will not be able to access these ports. Alternatives including Khorfakkan, Sohar and Jeddah are emerging, although their throughput capacity is significantly lower. Together with road networks across the Peninsula, these corridors handle much of the region’s containerised imports, including food and everyday consumer goods.

The immediate effect of a continuing blockade would likely be seen in supplies of fresh produce, meat and dairy, which rely on near daily imports to stock supermarket shelves. The region imports more than 90 per cent of its food, meaning shortages could emerge if disruption lasts weeks.

According to Kpler, Over the past year, Iran has exported 1.65 million barrels of crude oil per day.
Today, they are loading 8 million barrels at Kharg Island. If they don't, then there is a risk that the storage tanks on shore will hit capacity and the country will have to wind down its oil production the way Iraq recently announced.

UHPC is a type of concrete that is way more advanced than regular concrete. Earlier, concrete rated as "high strength" had a yield of 5,000 pounds per square inch (psi). There were some that went up to 10,000 psi. But UHPC can withstand 40,000 psi or more. This is because in this technology, concrete is turned into a composite material by adding steel or other fibres. They hold the concrete together and prevent it from cracking. Stephanie Barnett, Ph.D, of the University of Portsmouth in the UK, who works to develop stronger concrete to protect civilian buildings from terrorist attacks, told Popular Mechanics, "Instead of getting a few large cracks in a concrete panel, you get lots of smaller cracks. The fibres give it more fracture energy."

An open-source Chinese study compared normal high-strength concrete with fibre-reinforced UHPC. It noted that projectiles smashed through the reinforced concrete targets, but the UHPC targets only had minor cracking. The bombs “either embedded in or rebounded from” the targets.
The United States Air Force had also launched a project to study bunkers made of UHPC. It was reportedly feared that even the 5,000-pound bombs would not get through UHPC. Then it got the 21,000-pound Massive Ordnance Air Blast, "mother of all bombs". This is the biggest bomb one can fly, with only the B-2 Spirit strategic bomber capable of doing so.



Experts say that even the biggest and toughest bomb could not get through UHPC. Gregory Vartanov of Toronto-based Advanced Materials Development Corp claims that current bombs cannot break down the high-grade UHPC. "Penetrators with monolithic cases made from materials such as … Eglin Steel … cannot penetrate bunkers made from UHPC,” he wrote in Aerospace & Defense Technology magazine in February 2021.

You're right—intelligence sharing is routine among aligned nations in conflicts. The US and UK have long supplied Ukraine with satellite data, real-time targeting intel, and on-site trainers/advisors. Considering that Russia would need also satellites in Ukraine ,  helping Iran seems big help . But they can do it for sure . I think Russia has been strugling with spy satellites for years thought , not sure but few years back they had only 2 optical versions .

I would consider Chinese more, they have massive space satellite fleet  about 1,900 today . 

I would bet Chinese giving much more targeting information to Iran than Russia .

Trump is in a pickle. Lost all his US Bases in the Middle East. Maybe in some ways he is still working with Q. He knows Israel has to be destroyed, but in so deep the only way he can do it is to get someone else to do it.

In the background Trump made a deal with Putin and Xe. The Middle East situation is costing Trump a packet and he wants to get out. Take out a few leaders, stir up the locals and get Iran to take Israel off the map. Then get the BRICS nations to have tribunals in America, round up the bad apples and give them a heroes send off.

Mar 6, 2026: Israeli fighter jets struck a heavily fortified bunker beneath the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's compound — his emergency command center. The IDF said Israel believes senior Iranian officials had been using the bunker in recent days and is still assessing whether anyone was inside at the time of the strike.

USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group has left the Mediterranean and is now headed into the Red Sea, with a quick visit on the Houthis, then heading up closer to Iran.

In the opening hours of the war, US/Israeli aircraft carpet bombed Iran’s Hamedan Air Base with GBU-39 SDBs, cratering runways, taxiways, and access points. No intact stretch of asphalt longer than 1,000m remains, effectively rendering the base unusable for the IRIAF. Reminds you of a movie(s) that you have seen.

Apparently, the 7th Fleet Los Angeles-class (688i) fast-attack sub USS Charlotte (SSN 766) fired the single Mk 48 torpedo that literally tore the ass off & sunk Iranian frigate IRIS Dena (75). The Mark 48 is one of the most lethal anti-ship weapons in the U.S. arsenal.


1 of only 2 boats modified for Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS) support (now discontinued), the "Silent Stinger" now can claim the only submarine torpedo kill this century. USS Charlotte (SSN-766), a 32 year old Los Angeles-class apex predator. What a career.

To my knowledge there are now two warships in service in the U.S Navy that have sunk another warship in combat: USS Charlotte (SSN 766) and USS Constitution (the one in Boston Harbor). I'm assuming the other IRIS sinkings were by aircraft, and Houthi boats don't count as warships.

For an idea of what things looked like onboard USS Charlotte during its attack on IRIS Dena, this Navy video shows some of the procedures to man battlestations and conduct a torpedo attack. This is for a submerged target but many of the steps are the same.
