Ozzy Osbourne has died

I don't think it will come as a shock to anyone following his appearance at "The end" show a few weeks ago but today sad news has broken that Ozzy Osbourne has succumb to the ailments that have plagued him over the last few years , a constant through my teenage years and throughout adulthood Ozzy played a big part in my musical life and will be sadly missed. 

It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.

We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.

RIP, Ozzy!  You were a music Icon of my generation.

I went to many an Ozzie concert over the years, not because I wanted to necessarily, but because I had to with all my friends.  Even so, I never regretted a single one!  I don't think I ever went to a single party where Ozzy didn't get played at some point, usually often.  I never minded.

The guy rocked us through (6) major American wars, (12) Presidential administrations, financial crises, pandemics, and you name it.  Say what you will, but Ozzie Osbourne was always there...still rockin'!  Not too many people can say that, not too many at all!

So, I raise my glass to Ozzie.  May you join up with Randy Rhodes and rock Heaven for all eternity as you did here on Earth.  God's Speed, my friend...and Rest in Peace!
You earned it.

Its been a strange old day today , it's gone from this morning processing the fact Ozzy has gone following last nights sad news while listening to a presenter on one the rock stations I tune into in floods of tears as he delivered his personal eulogy too Ozz to enjoying a day filled with Ozzy and Sabbath songs on the radio , Ozzy Osbourne was not only a musician he was a National treasure the likes of which we will never see again.
