Anyone remember that piece I posted by Dmitry Orlov? He disappeared off the interwebs but I found a recent interview with him and wow, he's blunt and straight to the point, no BS with that Russian style humor.
"this idiotic idea of putting pressure on Putin, I think that's the way they put it by proposing more sanctions on Russia, well there's a saying for that. Trying to frighten a hedgehog with your bare ass that's basically what it is and will have no effect whatsoever and and it'll just make the Russians smile. So if you're trying to make Russians smile just impose more sanctions."
"The sanctions are much worse for Europe and the United States and have negligible negative effects on Russia."
Note: the audio breaks up several times, though not bad.
Couldn't find what I posted here so must be on the old RN site. Here's the gist of it:
The 5 Stage taxonomy of Collapse
Stage 1: Financial collapse
Stage 2: Commercial collapse
Stage 3: Political collapse
Stage 4: Social collapse
Stage 5: Cultural collapse
Here's the short essay from 2008 that he wrote while researching for his book "The Five Stages of Collapse: Survivors' Toolkit", June 1, 2013 by Dmitry Orlov. Amazon
