US Treasury Dept had banks target and monitor certain transactions.

Financial institutions were told to look for transactions with terms including "Trump" and "MAGA," as well as "Biden," "Kamala," "Antifa," "White Power," "Camp Auschwitz," "Proud B," "Storm, the," "Capitol," "Groyper Army," "Threepers," "boogaloo," "civil war," "last sons," "kill," "shoot," "gun," "death," "murder," "Pelosi," "Schumer" and "Pence."

FinCEN also provided banks with suggested terms and Merchant Category Codes for the firearms industry, including GOA partners like AR15.com, LLC; Browning Arms Company; Glock, Inc.; Sig Sauer, Inc.; Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc.; and others. 



very unfortunate.  politicizing financial transactions.
I hope they're paying equal attention to (illegal) drug transactions.

i stopped using checks, debit cards for anything other than normal everyday bills and purchases back when they started flagging anything over 10,000 with the patriot act. granted i hardly ever spend over 10,000 at one time, but it's the simple fact that for me violates the fourth specificity this,

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated

it's none of their business how much money i spend and on what.  it's cash and gift cards for anything else.

oh by the way did i mention that monitoring for illegal activity was the reason they had monitoring bank transactions over 10,000 back in 1970.
