Intriguing story.  I have looked into it before and was going to skip this perspective but it enlightened me more.  Sad end to a person who probably deserved more accolades from the DOD for her and her co scientist's work in this field.

I remember coming across her not long ago.

Solving the mystery of Huntsville’s brilliant anti-gravity scientist by Noah Logan (Huntsville Business Journal, July 30, 2023). Dr. Ning Li’s son talks about his mom’s career and legacy along with the Internet’s obsession with her disappearance.

The MITRE Corporation has been a project feeder into RAND Corp and the JASON scientists for decades. Story sounds like a case of the company & her went black, as in off the books R&D.
