The infuriating bit about this is, that despite the huge number of reported incidents, there has been very little response from law enforcement agencies (primarily federal) that have even some of the resources needed to determine what is going on.
It is no joke to the ranchers. Unfortunately, our government's response to practically anything of odd nature has been dogmatic since at least the post-World War II years, and the dogma has been to marginalize anybody reporting something that the government doesn't recognize as an issue.
