ChatGPT & Stable Difussion The Pathway To Your Obsolescence - NightskyeB4Dawn - 07-02-2023

Less than 50 years ago most could not imagine a world with the internet. Today most can't imagine a world without it. But the internet is dying.

I strongly encourage parents to be very careful in assisting their children in choosing their future careers because many careers have no future. Computers have been around for much longer than many people realize, and the future they have planned, does not include us useless eaters.

We need to think outside of self. It is clear that they see us as parasites to the planet. They believe the planet will only survive if there are less of us. A lot less of us. So who will be the chosen of TPTB?

I have never used ChatGPT but it is becoming all the rage among the masses and among big businesses, now it is projected that by next year the internet will no longer be needed to operate ChatGPT.

What else will be obsolete?

It is not all that.

Really all it does is scour the internet like google, plagiarizes what is available to create or re write something differently.

What we do with scripts and manual flowcharts or rulesets today can be learned and copied by AI. AI can generate art again from the data available and the descriptions or "prompts" you query it to do to describe what you want.

Pretty much, if you were talking to it like in star trek, you would describe what you want, it will scour all of the available information, pictures, stories, movies, news, etc. and try to fulfil your request.

Self driving cars seem to be all the rage.... pull up in front of one and drop a bunch of Styrofoam blocks and see what happens. They cannot tell the difference between Styrofoam blocks or concrete blocks and they will kill you. Same issues with "Bug Splats" on the sensors.

AI can save massive amounts of time doing things like writing stories, creating art, writing code but it cannot repair a pipe or garage door.

Administrative jobs, medical diagnosis, pharmacist, etc.... yeah problem.

Also, AI doesn't work well unless the underlying data is correct... LOL

We still have some years.

Also, other than communications and the internet, life is not that much different that say 1990. We had houses, appliances, cars, jets, cable TV, and just about EVERYTHING we have today other than carry around phones and the internet. Sure we don't have to go to blockbuster to rent a movie or buy a game on disc for our commodore Amigas but to be honest, life is not that much different today than it was then other than our "personal gadgets" and electronics are more advanced.

It is not all that, yet.

My first computer wasn't all that either. Computer games were text based, like Zork, and it was considered super advanced when games changed from text to stick figures.

Look how far we have come. All that in less than 50 years, and advancements will advance exponentially, so like he said, it is almost impossible to see more than five years ahead.

Right now there are certain skills that AI can't do. Right now.
