Little tutorial tips on what is where... - SolPuppetUser - 11-08-2022 Hey there, Here are a few tips on finding stuff - and this place is filled with stuff - but I'll show you the main ones for now.. 1 - When you click on your username on the top right corner, you will get this: This is where you get to your UserCP, or directly change your avatar (maximum dimensions are 150px X 150px), change your signature, see if you have alerts (white means no, red means yes and then clicking on it will get a window to pop up) and finally, one of the places where you can log out. 2 - Home This is where you will find the Shoutbox and Recent Threads. 3 - Portal The Portal is where - on your right hand side - you will find New Posts, Today's Posts and if you got any PMs but trust me, if you get a PM, you won't miss it LOL New Posts - Today's Posts and PMs: . A LOT of information is in there. 5 - Bottom Forums: As in RN3, the Forums are under the Recent Threads. But on the right side of them (underneath them on mobile) you will find another place to log out, forum statistics, the area to share the page on different social media outlets and finally, the Forum Legend. 6 - Finally, what we call the Footer: Useful information here: First, at the very bottom, clicking on Home will do just that, bring you back to the index page. Next to it, Return to Top will bring you back on top of the page where you are, without having to scroll back and it's lightning fast lol Team shows who are the Admins & Staff Facebook and Twitter are direct links to them Freeimage is a free image hosting site where you can store images and load them in here, for your avatar or threads, replies, etc.. Some of us are using that image hosting site and it works well. The Footer also shows you who's online. . RE: Little tutorial tips on what is where... - SolPuppetUser - 11-08-2022 Threads Top: A lot of information already: The Author of the thread, number of replies, number of views, we can share that OP directly to Facebook or Twitter or Google+ (anyone use that anymore? LOL) and the 5 star system you're used to. The center shows you the post itself, the avatar with the user's info underneath and the signature: Bottom: Very similar to RN3, a quoted reply or a New Reply, Email to someone, PM the user, find all posts from the user or rate. New is the Add Thank You feature. Try it on a post you like. It will leave a trace lol and the user will get an alert about it.. cool feature.. The dark blue are features not used often but you can see what they are by hovering over them. Print, send to a friend or Subscribe to thread. Posting a New thread, or a new reply, or replying directly with a quoted reply is identical (or just about) to RN3. . That's pretty much it, to get your way around.
