First public Rush performance with new drummer Anika Nilles - gortex - 04-02-2026

Rush made their public comeback showcasing their new drummer , Anika Nilles , at the Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario a couple of days ago with a performance of “Finding My Way” , a song from their self titled debut album.

I think the choice of song is typical Rush genius , the boys are finding their way with their new drummer playing a song from when they were finding their way in the music business.

And Anika ? , thumbs up from me I think Neil would be happy.

I heard a snip on the radio.
I was not very impressed.  Kind of like they picked someone who plays just well enough who they can boss around.

I don't know much about the band but sometimes it's better to burn out than to fade away?
I like their big 70s and 80s songs a bit.
