AI Sam Altman has ideas....one such is to start create develop human babies that do not have a hereditary disease. But they will go much further , playing God and creating designer babies .

Natural selection, although blunt, molded humans into a species that can survive in a changing environment. Leaving out natural selection and designing people from the molecules up seems incredibly foolish and flaunts human hubris. IMO, playing games like that will lead to an evolutionary dead end with extinction as the result.
Because of the growing lack of empathy due to biological and medical advances, medical science treats our bodies like machines. I wonder when there will be genetically engineered people who are considered corporate property to be used as slaves and/or as reservoirs of replacement parts. We are "Human Resources" in the literal sense, with no value or meaning beyond how human biology can be capitalized on to generate more corporate/government revenue. If we had any consideration for morals, we would keep in mind the following before we make any plans: "Just because we can do something doesn't mean we should do it."
If humans were honest with ourselves, we'd admit that our purpose comes from nature and we need to leave it alone for the most part. Pretty much everything humans do comes down to survival of the fittest and the perpetuation of the species. We want to be strong, healthy, attractive, youthful, wealthy, and wield power and control, for what? All this is for reproduction and spreading the successful seed that has a better chance to survive than others. If we can't understand, or won't understand, our natural purpose for existence, then this level of biological control will lead us far astray and ultimately into extinction.

Ditto , and it has been also allready observed what issues can arise when they modify too much pet`s ...like cats and dogs ...as some are now labeled as unhealthy breeds .
Also , didn`t God`s one purpose flooding Earth was to get rid Nephilim or wrong evil people ? This Frankenstein lab could just create new species which are not anymore God`s creation.

To be fair, Altman and his... AHEM! "husband"... can't have their own babies the old-fashioned way. That's just not how biology, nature, and the universe work. I mean, yeah, his cheeks might gt a little plumper, but that ain't pregnancy like he might mistake it for.
So, they have to build their "offspring" fro scratch, from the ground up, an a shop.
Altman seems to be pretty damned anti-human. He don't like girls (nothing wrong with that, but it makes procreation pretty much impossible, given the facts of life, biology, nature, and the universe,,, no procreation, then!), he builds fake "intelligence" to replace us in the universe who don't need no stinkin' biology!, and then he comes up with this to put a once and for all end to humans in the universe. If that ain't "anti-human", then I can't imagine what would be!
ETA: the IVG thing - there is a booby trap hidden in there. Male gametes transmit a Y chromosome, female gametes transmit an X chromosome. In practice, if you get an X and a Y chromosome, you are male. If you get two X chromosomes One from the father's XY and one from the mother's XX) and no Y, you are female. What happens when you get two Y chromosomes and NO X chromosome because both of the gamete donors were male?
Playing God creates chimeras, that's what happens.
