I wonder if she was stuck in a nursing home in the end for very long, or if her relatives and friends watched over her? RE: June Lockhart dies at 100 - Ninurta - 10-26-2025 hate to hear she's gone, but I reckon 100 years is a good long life. She, and her daughter Anne, are two of my favorite actresses. I was struck by the "about the author" section at the bottom of the obituary. It states: Quote:Bob Thomas, a longtime Associated Press journalist who died in 2014, was the principal writer of this obituary. Wait - WHAT? A man who died 11 years ago is STILL writing for AP? Now folks, THAT'S dedication! Seems sort of fitting that he's writing obituaries... I wonder if he does it on the graveyard shift? . RE: June Lockhart dies at 100 - Michigan Swamp Buck - 10-26-2025 Lassie or Lost in Space, she was a better TV mom than most of the rest of that era, or after, for that matter. I guess she left peacefully, with family, and fully aware up to the end. That seems like a great way to go, and I'm glad she made the hundred-year mark. |
