It's not just the Mexican politicians.
About 10 or 15 years ago, Nancy Pelosi led a delegation of US Democrats on a "fact finding" junket into Mexico, during which cartel money also greased palms.
Not long after that, we saw US defacto policy on the border security start to crumble in favor of cartel smuggling.
Coincidence?
I'm guessing not.
That, and the "Affordable care Act" - which was neither affordable nor did it involve health care - it was a sop to enrich insurance companies even further, and had nothing at all to do with actual health care - are what turned me so vehemently against Pelosi.
It's probably too late to investigate those politicians now. They've had 10 or 15 years to launder the bribe money through such things as insider trading stock purchases and the other "perks" that enrich our politicians far beyond their salaried means.
