Déjà vu - French government collapses ... Again - gortex - 09-08-2025

Macron's choice of PM has failed again following a vote of confidence in the French Parliament which saw Prime Minister Francois Bayrou lose by by 364 votes to 194 , a pretty resounding "Non !" to France's 5th PM in just 2 years.

The French economy is in tatters and so too its Left wing political system , they banned Marine Le Pen from standing in the next election but even so her successor to lead National Rally , Jordan Bardella , is well ahead in the polls although the choice of PM is Macron's to make not the people of France because "Democracy".

Quote:Bayrou’s fall came after he staked his government on an emergency confidence debate centred on the question of French debt.
He spent the summer in speeches, interviews and social media posts warning of the “existential” threat to France if it did not start to tackle its 3.4 trillion euro liability.
But he was quickly disabused of any hope that his prophesies of financial doom would sway opponents. Lacking any majority in the National Assembly, Bayrou saw the left and hard-right uniting against him – and his fate was sealed.
Some have speculated that Macron would turn now to a leftwing prime minister, having failed with the conservative Barnier and the centrist Bayrou. However, the PS has said it wants a total break from Macron’s pro-business policies.

It therefore seems likely Macron will look initially to another figure from within his own camp, with Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu, Labour Minister Catherine Vautrin and Finance Minister Eric Lombard all said to be in the running

Like Starner Macron is fast running out of allies and time , a pox on all their houses.

Five is a charm? France is reaching a level of massive debt and political dysfunction reminiscent of its neighbor Italy a decade ago. A legitimacy crisis will sweep across Europe over the next few months. Meanwhile, Islamists are threatening to burn Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris (again?) if one of their cohorts in prison is not released. That "coalition of the willing" is looking mighty weak.

Today Macron anointed his friend and ally Sébastien Lecornu as the new French PM , coincidentally the previously planned 'Bloquons Tout' or Block Everything protest also started today over France's staggering €3.35 trillion National debt and governmental mismanagement under Macron's reign , demonstrators want the end of his term and National Rally are waiting in the wings to show France the Right way of doing things.

"Vive la révolution".

Yep.  Macron is the issue and he is too egotistical to step down and call for presidential elections.  Globalism pure.
