While touting what he said were zero border crossings for the past month, Trump called for the Department of Justice to appoint a special prosecutor and investigate the 2020 election. “The evidence is MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING. A Special Prosecutor must be appointed. This cannot be allowed to happen again in the United States of America!” he wrote on social media platform Truth Social. Trump’s post comes after FBI Director Kash Patel said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) allegedly conspired to mass-produce fabricated driver’s licenses as part of a ballot scheme during the 2020 contest. “The FBI has located documents which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election, including allegations of interference by the CCP,” Patel said in a June 16 post on social media platform X. “I have immediately declassified the material and turned the documents over to [Chairman] Grassley for further review.” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Patel did not provide further details about the allegations surrounding the 2020 presidential election or about the CCP’s alleged interference. Grassley’s office told The Epoch Times in an emailed statement this week that he “is in receipt of an FBI document responsive to a request he made based on legally protected whistleblower disclosures.” Related Stories Trump Taps Kentucky Lawyer for Judgeship 3 Years After Biden Scrapped Nomination Plans ![]() FBI Renews Scrutiny Over Handling of 2020 Election Interference Allegation Against China ![]() “The document alleges serious national security concerns that need to be fully investigated by the FBI,” said the statement, which also noted that Grassley is seeking further information from the FBI to verify the document’s production. The intelligence information report originated from the agency’s Albany Field Office and dates back to September 2020, according to his office. Grassley also sent a letter on Tuesday that asked Patel for more information about how the September 2020 intelligence report was handled by the FBI at the time. Patel also told Just the News earlier this week that the documents and report he provided to Grassley and his committee included “allegations of plans from the CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots.” He suggested that he considers the allegations to be “unsubstantiated” but noted that those claims “were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.” Democrat Joe Biden was declared the victor of the 2020 presidential election. Trump challenged the results in some states, alleging voter fraud, and has often said on social media and elsewhere that he was the rightful winner of the race against Biden. About a month after that election, the Supreme Court in December 2020 rejected a Trump-backed bid filed by the state of Texas that sought to invalidate results in Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Biden was certified as the winner of those states’ electoral votes. The high court ruled that Texas didn’t have legal standing to file the challenge against the other states. In 2023, Trump was indicted by a former special counsel, Jack Smith, and by the district attorney’s office in Fulton County, Georgia, over allegations that he improperly sought to overturn the 2020 election results. Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges, and both cases were ultimately dropped. Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, who is currently Trump’s CIA director, said in a 2021 letter to Congress that the CCP attempted to interfere in the 2020 election. In theory, Special Prosecutors are designed to be independent from the government. In practice, however, in recent decades they have all been heavily weighted in favor of the opposition to the government. So, you are likely correct - the chances of an investigation being truly independent are slim to none. Any such investigation will likely be heavily weighted in favor of the Neocons and Leftists/ Democrats. As far as "running over old ground" is concerned, you are likely to be correct there as well. It's likely to find along the same lines as the court cases at the time of the election thefts, which were, each and every one, decidedly NOT concluded on the basis of the merits of the cases. The merits of the cases were never heard in court, and they were all, each and every one, dismissed on "procedural" grounds before they could ever be heard in court. That was a hot potato that no one wanted to touch. I can see no reason that any current rehash would not run, swiftly, in the same direction, considering that it would be owned and operated, just as the last batch was, by the very people perpetrating the frauds to begin with. The massive election fraud of the 2020 US elections will likely never be dealt with, until it is taken up by historians in the far future. In a perverted sort of way, that massive fraud was actually a yeoman's service to America - it allowed us all to see, first hand, just what sort of destruction the Globalist Left has in mind for America. That resulted in the massive backlash against it that propelled Trump back into office in a landslide, as America fled from that Globalist Left plan. It's not so much that they actually wanted Trump, it was more the fact that he was the ONLY alternative presented to the disassembly of the US. It remains to be seen, however, just how effective or ineffective that 2024 vote was, whether it will save us, or just lead to a more rapid decompression that kills us all. I firmly believe that, in the end, the People themselves will have to take matters into their own hands, or else face the extinction of America. I base that opinion on the current lawfare being waged in to courts against the attempts to get this ship back upright and prevent it's capsize. If the courts insist on tying the government's hands, and re-releasing the deportees back to wreak havoc on the general population, it will become incumbent on the population to end the immigration crisis on it's own, and that will necessarily involve overriding the courts with permanent actions and solutions - executing those deportees that insist on not being sent back to the hell holes they are trying to import here. A deceased invader is no longer a threat, nor is he a cause for court contentions - he's been taken out of the hands of a court case that may well be decided against the American People as has become the norm here. If the government is not allowed to rid us of the invaders, then the people will have to do it themselves... and they don't have recourse to deportation mechanisms to do it in a civilized manner. Their solutions will, of necessity, be a bit more permanent. The downside of that is that generally speaking, the population doesn't have access to records that would show whether an individual is here legally or not, nor do they have the patience to search those records, even if they had access. That means that horrific mistakes will be made, in all likelihood. That, too can be chalked up to governmental malfeasance, in this case residing in the courts. ETA: It appears that large parts of Canada are currently undergoing the same sort of backlash against the Globalist Left that America saw last fall, but that they do not have recourse to recall the destructive Leftist threat from office... so their solution appears to be "leaving the Federation" and striking out on their own. I wish them luck - that sort of action did not go well for the American Confederacy when they tried it 160 odd years ago. Grifters in office tend to panic and act poorly when they see their tax base and natural resources about to walk out the door. It seems to be a part of an abuser's nature that, when they see their wealth, power, or object of desire about to walk away, they invariably will not engage in good faith negotiations, or make concessions to retain those leaving. They will instead double down on the abuse in an effort to retain them by force, and hilarity does not ensue. . |
