The moon landing - 727Sky - 06-19-2025 I watched it and felt the excitement as most of the world did about the moon landing....but...? RE: The moon landing - FCD - 06-19-2025 "Oh Gawd..not this shit again!!" ![]() Where do they dig these guys up every few years??? For many years I have said even though I know we went to the Moon, I can make a pretty compelling case for how it "could" have been faked, and all the usual suspects used to disprove Moon Hoax theories won't disprove this one. What really kills me is the fact that none of the Moon Hoaxers ever seem to use this scenario, yet it is the only truly bulletproof theory. ---------------------------------------------- BTW, 727...I watched it on television too. I was 7 at the time. It was important enough, and I was interested enough, that Mom let my 7 year old ass stay up way past my bedtime to watch. Even let me miss school the next day. I slept on the floor in our den for two days, glued to the TV set. Never before had something like that happened in US history, and I wasn't missing a second of it. RE: The moon landing - Bally002 - 06-19-2025 From recent reports they left a soldier behind. ![]() Bally RE: The moon landing - Ninurta - 06-19-2025 I'm still at a loss to understand why people are so invested in proving that it did or did not happen. I don't understand what difference it makes. It was just short of 56 years ago. We went (or not) looked around (or didn't) and said "there ain't nothin' here, and no one can survive here, anyhow", and then lost all interest in manned space exploration from that point forward. 56 years on, and no interest in sending people to places they cannot survive in... why is it important to prove or disprove? . It's just a 2nd lieutenant that somehow got hold of a map (the grownups were obviously not watching him!), got lost trying to read it, and ended up on the moon. I don't think we should even waste time on a rescue mission. He found his own way there, and can find his own way back! . It matters a great deal to me. Did the world's governments lie to all of the people on the planet? That is the critical question. But we don't even have to go anywhere near the moon landing to know the answer to that question is an emphatic and resounding "YES!" You can tell when they are lying - their lips move! . RE: The moon landing - F2d5thCav - 06-22-2025 Regarding lies by governments, I'd say the fear-mongering over covid fits the bill. Might have done it with the Moon landing, but I can't see the communist governments of the day going along if they knew it had been faked. ![]() |
