A Craigslist Ad Is Not Proof of Paid Protesters in LA - Michigan Swamp Buck - 06-11-2025

"FACT FOCUS: A Craigslist Ad Is Not Proof of Paid Protesters in LA. It Was Posted as a Prank"

Quote:    CLAIM: A Craigslist ad seeking “the toughest badasses in the city” is proof that Los Angeles demonstrations over immigration raids are made up of paid protesters.
THE FACTS: This is false. The ad, which appeared in Craigslist's Los Angeles section for general labor jobs, was bait for a prank show and had nothing to do with the protests in Los Angeles, the ad's creator told The Associated Press. It was posted on Thursday, the day before the protests began. In a livestreamed episode on Friday, the show's hosts called and spoke with people who responded to the ad.

“I literally had no idea it was ever going to be connected to the riots. It was a really weird coincidence,” said Joey LaFleur, who posted the ad on Craigslist.
The ad was developed as part of a new prank show called “Goofcon1,” said LaFleur, who hosts the podcast with Logan Quiroz. On their show Friday, the day protests began, they spoke live on the phone with people who responded during Goofcon1’s third episode.

I've been seeing this going around but that was the only article I saw that explained it. I am not endorsing the Associate Press news wire service or any reports they are publishing.

I am confused.  Not sure about this.  Accident or not - lock the effers up.  Riots by accident are not in my pay book.

Kind regards,

Bally.

Yeah, the channel was created on May 13, 2025, and only has one video (this one has been deleted).  I'm sure it was just a simple accident!!  Yeah, sure...I believe that!

BTW...I also have an unbelievable recipe for weight loss and you already have the ingredients in your pantry!  It works better than any of the other weight loss treatments AND it lowers blood sugar, cures type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure...oh, and cancer too.  I couldn't believe this miracle cure had been right at my fingertips my whole life!!!!!  Just click the link in the video to watch another video which will tell you the recipe in the next 26 seconds!  It's all FREE!!

And, did I mention that this same recipe eliminates the little blue pill for ED??  Yep, it does that too.  My GF (on the side) had to go to the ER last night because I put a hole in the bedroom wall & headboard with her head, and she was begging me to stop!!  I gained TWELVE INCHES in one night!  And 5 inches in circumference! Just destroyed that poor woman. She now just mumbles and drools, tows her uterus around in a little cart behind her, and you can't tell who she's looking at now because of her lazy eye.

Just click the link!

Yeah.

That timing is pretty damned suspect. I give no shits about what MSM wants to try to   propagandize  tell me about it... it's still pretty damned suspect.

Lock those bastards down for incitement to riot.

It's all fun and games until someone puts an eye out.

I found this mentioned on Snopes, and they didn't have anything to debunk this one way or the other. I guess they didn't have this information from the AP wire yet. I thought that was strange because Snopes usually has some "facts" to stand on, that report had nothing to say to support or debunk this one.

LOS ANGELES — Leftwing nonprofit groups are openly helping to fuel anti-ICE riots here by handing out “F–k ICE” packs with protective equipment — as protesters continue to take over downtown every night and engage in rolling battles with cops, federal agents and National Guard troops.

Chilling footage revealed one unidentified group handing out a truckload of face shields and other riot gear to protesters in downtown Los Angeles.

RE: A Craigslist Ad Is Not Proof of Paid Protesters in LA - Michigan Swamp Buck - 06-11-2025

This article provides more information that explains things better than this single incident report.

Quote:Radical groups mobilize for "emergency protest"
On Friday, Unión del Barrio, a group with explicit Marxist-Leninist roots, issued a call to action on Facebook, urging followers to rally against what they called "ICE terrorists." The post claimed ICE was "kidnapping" hundreds of immigrants and holding them in the basement of the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building.

"Emergency protest TODAY in LA! 4:30 PM… Join us to denounce ICE terrorizing our communities!" the post declared.

Journalist Andy Ngo reported that Antifa and other far-left factions amplified the message, ensuring a volatile turnout. By evening, the scene outside the courthouse devolved into mayhem, with protesters blocking streets, hurling objects at law enforcement, and setting fires.

Quote:Unión del Barrio: The Mexican BLM?
A closer look at Unión del Barrio’s manifesto reveals alarming parallels to Black Lives Matter’s radical agenda. The group openly advocates for:
  • The overthrow of U.S. capitalism and imperialism
  • The abolition of ICE and border enforcement
  • Socialist "pan-Latino unity" movements
  • Marxist indoctrination through youth programs like Escuelita Aztlán
Like BLM, Unión del Barrio operates as a revolutionary force, not a reformist one. Its goal isn’t policy change; it’s the dismantling of America itself.

Who’s funding the chaos?
Evidence suggests these protests were not spontaneous but meticulously organized and well-funded. Investigators point to groups like the Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights (CHIRLA), which saw its government grants skyrocket from $12 million to $34 million in just one year. While CHIRLA’s executive director, Angelica Salas, frames the issue in humanitarian terms ("These are workers, these are fathers, these are mothers"), the reality is far more sinister.

Billionaire Neville Singham, a known financier of communist causes, has funneled millions into radical organizations like the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), which played a visible role in the L.A. riots. Singham’s ties to Chinese propaganda networks raise even graver concerns about foreign influence in domestic unrest.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene asked: "Is this war on ICE and America being funded by Neville Singham? Is it being funded by China?"

Not that I trust the AP News Wire, they are quite liberal in my opinion. Here is what MediaBiasFactCheck says about the AP (not that I believe them either) . . .

Quote:LEFT-CENTER BIAS
These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias.  They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes.  These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.
  • Overall, we rate the Associated Press as left-centered biased due to left-leaning editorializing of news stories and frequently conducting fact checks on conservatives. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and a reasonable fact-check record.

I'm all for pulling out all the troops and police, then building a great wall around LA, and then sending in Snake Plisskin to restore order.

At a minimum, they ought to have already shut down the "organizations" handing out the PPE kits to rioters, and arrested their upper management teams for inciting, aiding, and abetting insurrection - you KNOW the Democrats would have already done that if it were "right wingers" in the streets... they did much more for far less after the January 6 election theft protests!

ETA: as I think about it, these knotheads ought to be thankful for police and NG troops, as well as the Marines intervening. Those factors are really the only thing protecting them, standing in the gap between the rioters and a pissed off citizenry that are rapidly closing in on having had enough of the bullshit, and who are fairly heavily armed. To make matters worse, the citizenry have limited access to"nice" weapons like rubber bullets and teargas canisters, and so have to resort to much more permanently damaging thingies.

Likewise, the illegals ought to be thankful for ICE intervention and deportation, for the same reasons - the citizenry also have limited access to deportation means, but they have unlimited access to shallow graves. and/or wood chippers.

Can we all agree George Thoros is an international fugitive and needs to swing from a short rope from a tall tree???

I mean, can we?  Really?

This guy doesn't believe in the cause...he really doesn't! (never has)  How long will it take people to see this????  What Soros is interested in is the social disruption, and how he can make money short selling everything in the wake of riots and chaos.  That's what he's interested in, folks!  Anyone who cannot see this doesn't understand the world they live in!

Sorry, but it's true!

edit - He creates chaos, and then he reaps benefits from the destruction and mayhem (which demoralizes the stock market, and he profits from short selling everything).

JEEZUS...it's so easy to see, but yet 90% of America cannot see it. You are being PLAYED!!

(...and now, he's taught his son how to do the same thing!)

Soros makes money by instilling social FEAR. Fear works well for him. When society is unstable, Soros is at his best!

same thing antifa  and blm did during hands up don't shoot, and the texas riots.

a little off subject, i couldn't believe ol gruesome newsome was so ignorant that he even got on tv and wihined about 320 out of two thousand guardsmen were assigned roles for riot duty. to stupid to realize that the other 1700 were there for rapid response to put a boot in the little wussies asses when and where ever needed.

what a idjit.

Old Marxist trick.

Place some strategic lies in key places that are so bìzarré, enough people will automatically think ALL similar truths are lies too. Brilliant as it works!!
