Pakistan's defence minister said on Monday a military incursion by neighbouring India was imminent in the aftermath of a deadly militant attack on tourists in Kashmir last week, as tensions rise between the two nuclear-armed nations.
The attack killed 26 people and triggered outrage in Hindu-majority India, along with calls for action against Muslim-majority Pakistan. India accuses Pakistan of backing militancy in Kashmir, a region both claim and have fought two wars over.
this doesn't seem to be getting much coverage so maybe it's known to be empty rhetoric.
a shooting war between these two would be a major event.
one good thing; they have a land border so the fighting shouldn't spread out too far.
there are serious water issues in that part of the world. I've read commentaries that say WWIII will be fought over water, and could involve China and India. Yikes.

I was hoping things would start to cool down between these two nuclear armed antagonist but it seems if anything things are getting worse. Pakistan has the support of China and is continuously being accused of breaking cease fire agreements. If this goes down between the Hindus and Muslims ???

Pakistan and India have been 'shooting' at each other for decades, so not a whole lot to worry about there (IMO). However, a serious escalation between the two could involve nukes, and that very much would be a big deal.

One must take a step back and realize that the Indian gov't and the msm always talk big about going to war against Pakistan but nothing ever happens. Sure they have their skirmishes now & then, but nothing like scorch earth Gaza or the Ukraine.

Reports from different sources says India has fired missile and attacked targets in Pak.. 9 terrorist targets were hit by Indian missiles in an operation called Sindoor

There may be a cease of hostilities as PAK seems to be backing down.... However IMO as the water supply to PAK is disrupted if words will not work I figure a real shooting war will start sooner or later...

Their 1965 conflict was interesting. Indians really tore up a Pak armored division at a place later called "Patton Nagar" (graveyard of the Patton tanks).
