Blue Origin Caught Stage managing Stage managed Event - gortex - 04-18-2025

A few days ago Jeff Bezos launched 6 self obsessed women to the edge of space , sadly he brought them back but in doing so he's brought claims of fakery to Blue Origin as footage of the door opening before Bezos had the opportunity to open it himself with his big wrench have raised questions about the authenticity of the event , when Bezos is seen opening the door it looks flimsy as seen when the space tourist inside opened it , another problem is the capsule door opens inward where real space capsule doors open outwards for obvious reasons.

For those with the stomach for it here's some "celebrities" floating in kinda space.
***viewer discretion is advised***

And the blooper moment that has caused the controversy.

I'm sure there's a plausible explanation for it.

Yeah, no way Jose. All that space stuff was faked, starting with the moon.

In addition, the Earth is flat (so there), and it sits on top of a huge turtle in a vast ocean that sits on top of an even larger turtle, and so on.

what gets me about this, they called them a all woman crew, that's a load of horse shit.
a crew actually does work they didn't do any work, all those women did was take a ride in a auto piloted space craft if it really did go up they should have been called passengers.

What irks me is people calling them astronauts , as you say they aren't trained and they did nothing other than float around and be annoying , they were just passengers on a 10 minute tourist trip.

The opening of the capsule is as fake as its contents.

Seems nothing went right , Bezos face plants in his rush to open the door.
"mind the dip Jeff"

Let's see.

One private space launch firm pulls this artless stunt, and another gets to the space station, retrieves actual astronauts, some of whom had been stuck on the station for months, and safely returns everyone home.

I think Musk is definitely the alpha dog in this contest.

RE: Blue Origin Caught Stage managing Stage managed Event - Ninurta - 04-19-2025

Yeah, no. This never happened.

First, there is nothing about that paper mache "space capsule" that would allow it to make the bold claim of "I will not suddenly explode when pressures outside me fall to nothing but pressures inside me allow for human breathing - pressures of 14 pounds for every square inch of my being pushing outwards against no resistance at all, to speak of". It's not sturdy enough to survive being stepped on by an average size human.

It;s just not substantial enough to survive space. I bet if it hadn't had those six or so broad-assed "astronauts" in it to hold it down, the winds would have blown it across the landscape like a beach ball in a hurricane.

Second, it's sitting on dry land. Think about that a minute - there is a reason all the Apollo missions landed in the oceans with a "splashdown". That alleged space capsule has way too much room inside for it's light construction, and not nearly enough space to carry, say for instance, oxygen to allow for breathing, there is no space for any sort of "shock absorbing" mechanism that would prevent folks' heads from getting impacted into their assholes after falling at least 62 miles in Earth gravity and then coming to one of those sudden stops on hard ground, like driving into a brick wall at velocities a car could never hope to reach. There is not even a space to allow for something as simple as a parachute or two.

Have you ever noticed how meteorites have a tendency to leave craters when they hit land? Yeah, they don't have any kind of shock absorbers or slow-down braking mechanisms, either.

The average automobile is built sturdier than that thing, with more hidden space to store survival stuff... and believe it or not, you wouldn't want to take a car into space where there is no air.

All that is before we even get to the painfully comical "hatch opening". I've seen more realism in Saturday morning cartoons.

There is nothing they could say that would convince me this ever really happened after seeing just those two clips. They couldn't even offer me a ride into space in one of their contraptions to "prove" it ever happened. My answer would have to be "Nope. I've no interest in exploding or undergoing explosive decompression. Y'all go on without me, and have a nice day!"

Some of those women look vaguely familiar. Are they actresses or something? I'd bet they are actresses, and this whole thing was just another staged production on a sound lot somewhere.

Isn't this the company that makes those rockets that look like a giant penis flying up? And this one was "crewed" by six winsome wenches? There's just something Freudian about that...

amanda nguyen is a activist along the me to movement lines wrote a civil rights bill that passed both houses of congress, and obuma signed it.  she's a fairly smart cookie. worked for the Department Of State, interned at NASA, and was a scientist astronaut candidate at one of the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences which i never heard of.

aisha bowe, is another smart cookie, she is a aerospace engineer and  worked at NASA's Ames Research Center and is also STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineeringand Mathematics) activist / mentor.

the token white woman kerianne flynn is a film producer / activist for several causes. her only claim to fame that i can find is the documentary   This Changes Everything   about sexism in Hollywood and the film industry.

so a rich / well off DEI all women crew.

After Wendy's burger chain asked if we could send them back to space the US government has put an end to the claim they are Astronauts.

Quote:The U.S. commercial space industry is an inspiring project which showcases American ingenuity and exceptionalism. But the last FAA guidelines under the Commercial Space Astronaut Wings Program were clear: Crewmembers who travel into space must have “demonstrated activities during flight that were essential to public safety, or contributed to human space flight safety.”

The crew who flew to space this week on an automated flight by Blue Origin were brave and glam, but you cannot identify as an astronaut.
They do not meet the FAA astronaut criteria.

Sorry folks , if you fly in a plane you are not a pilot.

What would have happened with an unexpected pressure loss? I didn't see a single helmet, nor did it appear there was enough room to store them.
  Something is off kilter here.

Even Alex gives a good critique on that Katy Perry in Space thing that resonates on what Ninurta said above. Funny yet sad. While DJ offers some interesting insight...social engineering perception management.

Good point Rog.  I have yet to see any televised launches by Bezo's that requires the passengers wear protective gear. Including William Shatner aka James KIrk.
