Okay, been 75 years or so, but ...
Dad fought both Chinese and Nork soldiers in the Korean War.
He said of the two, the Chinese were apt to surrender when in a bad situation. He said the Norks were true fanatics.

Phew! 'wipes brow' 3 Chinese ships sail around Aussie recently and there's a big panic about them doing a recon. Perhaps they were looking for a safe place to surrender. Last time 3 PLA ships visited Sydney in June 2019 for 4 days they were greeted and celebrated.
Now Aust media reporting, send many into a spin. I mean I gets me big guns ready. Trusty shovel, wheel barrow and an one of those illegal slingshots. It's either that or I dress in a clown suit to entertain them.
