Well, BIAD, just about every talking head that pretends to be a journalist in the USA took sides in the election and now they lack viewers because a lot of Americans are tired of hearing personal views vice reasoned analyses. And lacking viewers means the nutworks lose money.
Turns out that "vulgar Trump" (what I heard yesterday from a European) is more popular by a long shot.

Part of it - probably a pretty big part - is down to Wall Street. Some company boards said "waitaminnit - Trump won the electoral college AND the popular vote? That hasn't happened in decades, and it means most of America is behind him... and that means most of America isn't wanting to heard this rancid bullshit... and that means that if we keep sponsoring it, they will eventually notice, and stop buying OUR rancid bullshit... and we can't have that! Someone stop paying the networks to put it on the air, pronto!"
So, they did. They started pulling the plug on funding for it.
That's why the networks started losing money on it.
Networks are just another company, and companies hate losing money.
So Joyless Reid got to hit the unemployment line. She was past her expiration date.
Not all networks are happy with the decision. Sky News' Rita Panahi, for example, the "Lefties Losing It" lady, is absolutely gutted by it. Joyless Reid provided her program with endless fodder, fresh every day. Now she'll have to cast a wider net to find material.
