Taiwan = 8,848,640 acres

Hong Kong = 272,640 acres

So we are talking an area smaller than Hong Kong, not that I'm am trying to make any excuses for the Chinese communists. We have a lot interests in these two areas, so I'm not too worried, but I don't like the one sided nature of owning property in the US.

Fact Check Team: How much US land and property is foreign-owned?

at least these states are starting to see the light,

Quote:According to a new report from the American Land Title Association, about two dozen states specifically forbid or limit foreign ownership of farmland within their borders. But laws passed in six so far this year — Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, North Dakota, Tennessee and Utah — impact all property in their states, not just farmland. Florida’s law prohibits most citizens of China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Venezuela from buying real estate close to a military compound or critical infrastructure, the Miami Herald reported.

it's the right thing to do.
