In the near future, a French submarine finds itself in a crisis situation. The plot of the film revolves around a young submariner who has a unique hearing. He works as an acoustics warfare analyst and can recognize any sound. A "Wolf's Call" is a Navy term for active sonar alarm. That means the submarine is detected and targeted. French SSBN motto: "Diwel didrouz maro pa denn" - "Invisible and silent, I bring death." RE: Movies - 727Sky - 11-13-2024 The Thing ...not the one with Kurt Russel ... RE: Movies - Michigan Swamp Buck - 11-13-2024 These are more recent releases than those others, and they are Westerns! "Deadman" "Bone Tomahawk" RE: Movies - EndtheMadnessNow - 11-14-2024 The Thirteenth Floor (1999) One of two major motion pictures released in 1999 about a futuristic simulation whose inhabitants believe they're in the real world. The other was The Matrix (1999) released two months earlier. The Brotherhood of the Bell (1970) conspiracy thriller TV movie that is more interesting now as an artifact than entertainment. Glenn Ford plays a professor who is a member of the titular secret society which enriches its membership but binds them to secrecy and to whatever they are called upon to do by the brotherhood, no questions asked. Ford finally receives his marching orders, which are to blackmail his good friend, a Soviet defector, into refusing a new career position by threatening to reveal the names of his network of defection assistants to the KGB. It is slow going and drawn out, but the idea is pretty well executed IMO. RE: Movies - EndtheMadnessNow - 11-16-2024 Dunno how long it will last... Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes (2024) Hyena Road (2015) Three different men, three different worlds, three different wars - all stand at the intersection of modern warfare - a murky world of fluid morality where all is not as it seems. The footage seen between scenes of vehicles, Afghan soldiers, etc. were actually shot in Kandahar during the final combat deployment. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes (2024)I think of all the good hard men who died or were messed up for a lifetime in another "lost cause war" that America fought with one arm tied behind it's back...if it is worth fighting then it should be worth winning IMO...
