Done in black & white special report newsreel style by one incredible creator working alone, the three-part Rise of the Automatons series on YouTube is extremely well done and entertaining.
The 7 minute, 32 second Part 1 overview recounts the 1913 rise of the automatons, the increasing sentiment against them and ultimately, the all out war for human survival with the people eventually gaining the upper hand.
Years later, in 1931, magnetic and other anomalies discovered in Antarctica resulted in the 26:14 minute long documentary “The Palmer Land Expedition” where U.S. and British scientisst and military forces were sent to investigate discovering a labyrinth of underground tunnels and rooms initially considered the most significant archeological discovery in all history. Unfortunately, evidence of an automaton activity and resurgence was discovered resulting in a large battle with significant loss of life and human sacrifice

The 25:22 minute long third special report in the series, ”The Antarctic Deployment” covers the Antarctic mobilization following the Palmer land expedition and the conflict that ensued. Learn about the key battles, the role of the Joint task force, and the discoveries made on the frozen continent of Antarctica.
With the tide of the conflict seeming to favor the human forces, unforeseen events leave their dominance in question and a cliffhanger setting up the next episode.

What I find impressive is this all the work of one creative and talented guy with a day job.
