The Crazy, It's Out There! - GeauxHomeLittleD - 04-05-2024

Went to pick up my new glasses so afterward ran next door to the dollar store to pick up a box of toothpicks while Kdog waited in the vehicle before we left to get some brunch. There were two cashiers open but there was a really loud woman at one of them so I went to the other. As I'm paying for my toothpicks all of a sudden the loud woman starts yelling so the cashier checking me out and I both turn our heads and look. The loud woman looks me right in the eye and yells "Don't look at me you devil!" to which out of instinct I yell back "I'll look wherever I want you crazy bitch!" and that began the yelling match with the crazy woman at Dollar Tree.

She starts screaming at me how I'm the Devil, something about a Mustang, God and Will Smith. I tell her "Fuck you ya crazy bitch!" and flipped her off to which she returns the one bird salute and yells at me how God hates me and I'm going to be damned and burn in Hell to which I replied how that was real nice and I'm sure that it is awful Godly shooting the bird and cussing at strangers and as I exited the store flipped her off again while yelling "Fuck you foul mouthed whore!"

I know, not my shiniest moment! I also was foul mouthed and un-Godly myself- but I was also having to watch around me to make sure I wasn't about to be attacked as here in the city if you get into an altercation with one person of a certain shade any others within the vicinity are liable to jump on you too. It's a sad but true state of reality and something I never thought I'd have to worry about in my lifetime and yet here we are. Fortunately everybody else in the store looked at her like she was insane and stayed out of it... this time.

Anyway, this wasn't my first encounter with a crazy person this week. Just a few days ago encountered a crazy woman at the Circle K down the street. Won't go into details but let's just say that I was glad to finally get in my vehicle and click the lock button and that it was my first time having to wonder about possibly being sexually assaulted by another woman, she was even licking her lips- YUCK!

So as the eclipse approaches I would caution everybody to stay on their toes and monitor their surroundings because the crazy is coming out in full force this week!

Also, brunch was lovely!

Wow! It's really getting unhinged craziness out there. Freakin twilight zone nuts. I think the country has and is descending into an epidemic of mental illness that is becoming worse year over year. Respect & kindness has been deleted. Societal upheaval due to high octane politics, cosmic forces, or big election year. I dunno, but these days one must keep their head on a swivel and always be on guard.

The demons are really starting to stir up.
I've been noticing the same situations getting more and more frequent and more and more aggressive.

Trust me on this one. Crazy has been in full force for a long time. Don't fall into the WWW trap of the bias du jour.

I live in an area that is very diverse, but the minorities at this time make up only about 30% of the population. I almost never see any craziness from the minorities, if anything, they look like all they want to do is try to quietly get out of dodge as quickly as possible, and fly beneath the radar.

The majority that acts crazy are still just a tiny number, even though they come from the 70% of the population. The ass-holes only make up less than 1% if the population, but every time it happens, the image of the "hold my beer", ignorant, Florida Man, red neck is what is displayed everywhere.

It seems everywhere I turn they are pushing a negative image on the law abiding, civil folk, while painting them with the same brush they use to label the crazies.

Hispanic, Jew, Palestinian, Black, Homosexual, Catholic, Republican, Democrat, Chinese, Russian, Muslin, Islam, Ukrainian, the propaganda hate list is so long that I would break the internet trying to name them all.

Crazy is becoming the new normal, and it comes in every shape, color, and form. They are programing us to either accept and transform, or reject and reform.

I see crazy where it is and deal with it where it stands. I am not going to punish or blame someone else, just because they share some of the same attributes as the crazy one. But then, I have been called crazy, many times. So maybe, just maybe.........

Funny

Try living in a big city. It's a jungle out here! I don't buy into propaganda but I'm also not blind to my surroundings. Crazy shit that you see on Youtube clips? They happen here every day. Since the riots things have gone steeply downhill and we still have less than half of our former police force. We live in one of the last remaining safe-ish areas of the city so I guess we are lucky with that. I'm pretty sure the reason it's still relatively safe is that it is mostly working class people of all races and religions but also mostly armed and if people mess with us we will mess with them right back. We have lots of immigrants in our complex- African, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Korean, Mexican, South American, you name it and if you listen you will hear the language- so far no problems from them other than the Africans are very loud. It's the American crazies and thugs you have to watch out for here.

One way to deal with this kind of crazy.

Another Florida special.

I'm not one to fall for the propaganda mill either. I know the tricks so well I don't even bother with social media and i just skim the news. I barely look at youtube, unless I'm looking for something specific. I have noticed a rise in doom porn, fear news and all that. They have been laying it on thick since 2020 and it has steadily been increasing in volume.

In my daily life, my surroundings, and my sober minded observations (as well as my empath radar) I have been seeing a rise in heated confrontation and people on edge almost everywhere. Not quite, but there has been a noticeable difference the last few years or so. I live in a safe small little town and we just had our first double homicide. In broad daylight next to our only busy road. We don't have murders here often. Let alone a double homicide.

The young ones are the ones you really have to watch our for. There is, statistically more violent crimes being committed by adolescents and teens than ever before. This is undeniable and these numbers have skyrocketed.

I'm middle aged. Trained well and can handle intense situations. But, Lately I have been even more alert, and aware of my surroundings, than I ever have been before. Especially around a group of teens.

This is in every race creed and color from what I can see. The ones who were already crazy have gotten even more rabid recently.

My humble two cents.

I consider myself blessed to be in a small backwoods area. But I can feel the change is coming. We have been locked in by the development of new cities, and the growing of the large ones, by corruption and by annexation.

I am trying to hold one to as much of the country as I can, and the citification war, is making some  neighborhoods and neighbors closer and stronger. But it is just a futile effort generated by pride. We know that we can't win this fight. We have learned from all the other battles that we are no more than the little mouse that roared. We might lose, but we fought the good fight, and we won't let it be easy for them.

I am also blessed that the only place I see the really foul behavior is on the internet. But the ugliness I have seen, though I have to add that it is also rare, usually comes in the form of impatience and rudest. I know that this is going to intensify, because that is how the whole system is set up.

We have been programmed for so long that it had to become evident to us. Even the most self centered and narcissistic person, will eventually notice the elephant in the room, when the smell becomes apparent, or it steps on their toes. Until that happens, they will remain oblivious to the infiltration to our lives, environment, heart, body and soul.

The young ones are indeed in trouble. The past leaves much to be desired. The future leads to a black hole or to the Matrix. Yet they are only chance.

It is crazy and getting crazier. It is too late to just pull the plug. We have to know our enemy to win this battle. The big drawback and danger we all face, is that our biggest enemy lives within us. Always has. That is why we can see so clearly the speck in someone else's eye, and cannot feel or see the log with embedded in ourselves.

We are human after all.

I understand what it is like when you have to make life choices to maintain health, but go against what is the norm for you. Stay strong and learn to listen when your body is talking to you.

The middle of January, my life changed. No warning. Not even an explanation.

I am a nurse and why I did not see what was going on, is surprising to me, but it makes all the sense in the world. The minute the nurse I was talking to on the phone, told me to call 911 immediately because it sounds like I am having a stroke, I knew instantly, she was right.

I had enough wit about me that I knew that it was quicker to have my brother, who lived next door, take me, than to wait the hours it would have taken, for an ambulance to find its way out in remote country in the woods. My Brother and his wife, that is also a nurse, dropped everything and came and got me.

I had everyone that did not know me, thinking I had lost my mind, because I was not strong enough to cry, so laughter was my only way out of Hell and into sanity.

Accountability, responsibility, and accepting the log in my eye that was taking up too much space, is what helped me overcome some of the obstacles that were making my life miserable.

I never thought for a second that I was special, or blessed ad highly favored. I considered myself simply blessed. 2 months of rehab has taught me just how special simply blessed can be. I learned to walk again by learning and accepting my limitations, recognizing and learning from my failures, and learning from what worked and did not work from those around me.

I learned we can't make it alone. And people that you thought were your friends, were not. I also learned that those that you often ignore or pay little attention to, are the ones that care about you the most.

Everything that I thought I knew, understood, and was invested in, turned out to bad choices. I was lucky enough to find out about it before it was too late.

I know. Too much information.

Just sharing.

Oh... I missed this thread...

Is that what's happening in the cities?

Really? It's gotten that bad?

I don't go to the city often enough to give an answer to your question. I am sure some parts of any city is better than some other parts.

All it takes is one bad experience to ruin the trip. Once things go bad, it seems to reproduce like a wet Gremlin.

We have to be more careful about which of the wolves we feed, and never feed it after midnight. Smile

RE: The Crazy, It's Out There! - Michigan Swamp Buck - 04-06-2024

I've been cultivating and practicing personal awareness to include a broader general situational awareness for years. I've been studying building layouts that I'm in, noting the closest exits, and sitting with my back to the wall everywhere I go.

More and more lately, for the last 5 years at least, I've been paying attention to the people around me and sizing them up, trying to determine who might pose a threat. Walmart will keep your neck on a swivel if you are practicing situational awareness like this. I've only encountered a few times over my whole life where there was a threat that I picked up on and avoided. It probably saved my ass a few times.

For example . . . When I first moved out into the woods, I quickly acquired a fear and respect for the trees all around me. I was down the road visiting a friend who lived on a lot with many very old, very large, white pines. We were outside near his shed. I was outside the shed by about three or four feet facing it and he was just outside at the doorway facing me. He was just joking about how jumpy I was earlier when I got there. We both heard a loud cracking and before either of us had time to look up, I had already jumped out of the way before a big limb came down between us. My buddy had to lean back to avoid getting hit because he looked up before reacting, I jumped instinctively. I was very aware of the danger of old trees, esp. white pine, and that awareness saved me that day when my buddy who laughed at me nearly got killed.

Over the past few years it has. Since covid and the Brianna Taylor "protests" it has really gone downhill. What were once considered safe parts of town are no longer considered so due to criminals branching out and the "crazies" have been multiplying. Even with intense hiring campaigns we still only have half or less of a police force as so many quit or took early retirement because they weren't allowed to do their jobs anymore. Recently a "crazy" physically attacked several people, hurt one old lady really bad, the police were called several times but none ever came because "not enough officers"- this was in a tourist area. It is so common now that locals refuse to go to downtown businesses and attractions anymore, in interviews with business owners they complain that all they see is tourists now. A lot of the tourists come once, see how it really is as compared to what is advertised, and don't come back.

We stick to just our own area of town and a few adjacent areas nowadays but the problems are slowly creeping in. I used to love this city so much, loved to explore different areas and try out new places- it was truly unique with a hometown feel to it, nothing like what I expected when I moved here. Unfortunately in the past few years it has turned into everything I feared. It's really sad, earlier in life I witnessed the same thing happen in Houston and it breaks my heart.

We are being suffocated out here. I just got the local paper and it announced another estate about to break ground. The only thing halfway decent about this one is that it will only have 78 homes, none on less than one acre, versus the 44,000 postage stamp lots that is already in the making.

When I was a kid, I dreamt about growing up and living in the city. One year of city life was enough to make me aware that city life is not for me. There must be some truth in the old adage, "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl."

I hope that my time on this planet will come to an end before we are completely consumed by progress. I could leave, but where would I go were it will not be just another case of rinse and repeat.

Running is not the answer, because the developers keep on developing. They won't stop until they have taken every inch.

Right about now, Elysium is starting to look real damn good.

Recently our city was listed as one of the top 10 places to live in the US by some big publication. I assure you they were bribed extremely well to include us on that list. During covid our city started getting overrun with people from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Then during the "protests" they bussed in thousands upon thousands of homeless people- giving them free food, drinks, clothes and a little cash to join in the "protests" but afterwards were just left here without resources and no means to go anywhere else so they remain. Currently we are being overrun with "migrants" and surprisingly people from Florida who have been priced out of places to live there- which is causing housing prices to skyrocket here and is pricing out the locals.

Even as rents keep rising and rising (ours has risen by about $300 in the past 3 years for a one bedroom efficiency) it is still cheaper than other big cities and so their denizens are flocking here like geese. Add to the mix that our government is willing to pay whatever they have to to house the "migrants" and the rents will continue to rise. Our complex has become about 30-40% "migrants", so far no real troubles with them but the increasing scarcity of housing has become problematic as landlords are taking full advantage of it as I recently priced apartments here and also in the surrounding areas due to our lease soon ending and the increase with the new lease- we can't afford to move as even with the increase it is still far cheaper than anywhere even 50 miles out. Out of desperation I checked out rents in my old hometown down in Texas though I never wanted to live there again but they are having the same issues. The same apartment one of our daughters rented 5 years ago is nearly $400 more per month now (if they even had a vacancy- but they don't!) and that is the cheapest complex within a 25 mile radius. Same problems everywhere apparently.

At the rate they are going within our lifetime poor and middle class American renters will be completely priced out of the market, homelessness will boom greater than it already has and "migrants" will replace us completely all while our tax dollars foot the bill. It's scary and I wouldn't have believed it just a few years ago. Personally I'm cheering for a big asteroid to come.

That's my kind of sheriff. Not only is he sanctioning shooting miscreant intruders, he's also putting the word out to miscreants that "you break into a house 'round here, and someone shoots you, then they get a medal... and you're just dead. Deal with it. Don't be up to evil around here."

As for the hand-wringers saying "kids make mistakes, sometimes go to the wrong house". Yeah, right. They do, but WHEN they do, it's not often they try to break into it. They generally knock on doors and such, not jimmy windows. So, if they're dumb enough and criminal enough to jimmy doors and windows to gain entry, they get what they get. The gene pool is better off without them breeding even more dunbasses to deal with.

The end.

Is that what's happening in the cities?

Really? It's gotten that bad?

Yes.

Years ago, when I was working in cities, I saw a lot of it... but usually, that was because my job was being in the middle of the crazy, wherever I could find it.

You remember what it was like when we lived in Kansas City, but again, that was because we were in a "bad" neighborhood. The whole city wasn't that way.

Now the problem is that it's spreading from "bad" centers of cities into outlying areas, like a fungus spreading outward from it's original source. That means that not only is it becoming more prevalent, but it's being encountered by other folks more often, due to the spread.

Now  we have New Yorkers and Californians etc. fleeing their shitholes in addition to "migrants" creeping in. Of the two, I' prefer the "migrants" - I've seen first hand how New Yorkers fuck up a perfectly good area as soon as they move in. Californians are less problematic, because none of them have the sense enough to be a real danger, but those New Yorkers... !

We are right in the target list for New Yorkers and "half-backs" - people who flee places like New York to Florida, find out it's too expensive for them to live there (because their kind raised the goddamned prices to begin with!), and then move "half-back" to New York or whatever other shithole they crawled out of. We're in that "half-way" zone with a big target painted on our backs.

The Southern Appalachians, from mid-Georgia up through West Virginia, are the target for those folks, because it's cheaper to live here - housing, land, food, taxes - it's all cheaper here. But it won't be for long if we allow them in. They'll pump up the prices so far that natives will no longer be able to afford to live here, just like they've done in Florida, and then they will move on again, like a swarm of locusts.

I think of them as fungus spores, seeking new areas to infect, new centers to spread the infection outward from.

Luckily, perhaps, we've dealt with their kind before, right after the Civil War. Back then they were called "carpet baggers", because they came in swarms from Yankeeland, all their belongings packed into carpet bags, to try to make bank off of our misery. A lot of them met a tall tree and a short rope.

This ain't our first rodeo.

The Hispanics aren't that bad, so long as we can keep the cartels out. They're friendly people, hard workers, and good cooks. I've never met a New Yorker or Haitian in person who could lay legitimate claim to any of those virtues. The Carpet Baggers - folks from New York City, Chicago,, LA and San Francisco, etc - in contrast, bring nothing of value with them. They just come in like swarms of locusts to see what else they can ruin, and make a buck off of by ruining it.

They bring the crazy with them, and the impatience, and the "better than" superiority attitude that fosters so much of the crazy.

They are best shot on sight. At a minimum, they should never be taught how to survive here or assisted in any way in their invasion. They should, at a minimum, be made to feel unwelcome and "helped" along their way the hell out of here... one way or another. Whatever it takes to get shed of them.

I don't know if you recall, but during the covid panic-demic, a knot of them tried to break in to Buchanan County, VA, from New York and New Jersey. The sheriff's department met them at the county line and turned them around - told them they didn't have to go home, but they sure as hell weren't staying here. They had a plan to take over Poplar Gap (now re-named to "Southern Gap"), but that got shot down real quick, at the county line.

I saw with my own eyes what they did to North Central North Carolina, and we all can see what they are doing to Northern Virginia right now.. It ain't gonna happen here, not on my watch.

I think I may have tripped up on the answer to what is causing the noticeable change in the behavior of humans and animals.
