The Kreb - 727Sky - 02-03-2024 “Your resources will be taken and your presence and culture will be wiped from the history of your planet!” I had been listening to the Kreb leader make promises on how he and his Superior Race would consume and destroy mankind unless we agreed to submit to a Kreb obedience collar. (Think of the Kreb obedience collar as something along the lines of an old earth shock doggy collar except this collar could not only inflict neural pain but take your head off with just a push of a button from the master control along with a voice activated command.) He had said with just a command from him all would knell before the Kreb collar while he actually held up the master control unit which looked like a small medallion of blue and silver. We were on the Kreb intergalactic exploration ship called (rough translation) The Deliminator. When I say we; accompanying me were D1 thru D5 so call us six entities facing the Kreb leader and his council of 11. I had enough of listening to the pompous Kreb so I finally raised my hand and said through our translator, “Instead of having so much thunder in your mouth it is better to have lightning in your hand,” and with that all “D” units opened fire with their Ultra short pulse laser which traveled at 300 million meters per second . The power output had thankfully been turned down so the “D” units would not be punching holes through the ship's hull. I realize we were all in our armored space suits and looked alike but but these Kreb were absolutely stupid letting us into their council chamber without even a search of our armored suits, They might not have found anything as our weapons were well concealed in their own armored compartments but still.... Arrogance and the feeling of invincibility was quite strong with the Kreb. A battle facing overwhelming odds, yet with the tenacity to try and win anyway makes for a heroic story but that is not how this story goes. I instructed “D4” to retrieve the control unit for the collars from the Kreb leader's robe and told “D3” to see if it could crack open the the Deliminator's main computer or A.I. While this was going on the other D units set up their perimeter cross fire guard positions just in case there had been an emergency signal sent somehow during our millisecond takeover. I asked “D2” if he had enough voice prints from the long winded Kreb leader to mimic all the various sounds he had made during his grand speech. D2 said “No problem can do.” I was going to pop a few Kreb heads off but as I studied the now dead council members I realized they were all wearing control collars; the only Kreb without a collar was the blowhard that claimed to be their leader and as far as I knew he might have had a brain implant to keep him in line too ? I wanted this ship but I did not want to kill everyone on board to capture it unless I had to. Chapter 2 A big stupid masterful plan: D3 said without several hours of working there was not much of a chance of being able to gain entrance into the Kreb A.I. Central hub. The good news was he had managed to find the intercom system for the ship and he now had video feeds from different parts of this huge ship. D3 and I spent several moments looking at various departments of the ship and I for one was amazed at all the different collared species dutifully doing their jobs aboard the Deliminator. D2 transferred the language program to D3 while the intercom function was enabled. “ Your attention please as we have some news you will be interested in hearing. The Kreb Council Chairperson is now dead and the control unit for your collars is with us. We want this ship to back engineer it's star drive and build a force to stop the Kreb from subjugating more races to their will. To this end I will need your help. I realize the collar has kept you in fear for your lives so as soon as we are able to build some trust with the members of this crew your collars will be removed and when able you can join us in destroying the Kreb or be returned to your own planet or domicile. I see many Sentient beings from different races on this Deliminator mega ship and I would hope if we unite we can bring an end to the Kreb slavery.” I had to wait as according to the video feeds there was cheering and pandemonium from all the sections we could see in our feed. After that I asked for a representative from navigation, communications, and computer control to please come to the council chamber unarmed. They each came and a course was plotted to achieve Earth orbit while we made a repeating message that the Kreb ship was now under our command so basically, “do not shoot!” The only person who had direct access to the ships A.I was the now dead Kreb commander however the computer specialist (little Hobbit looking fellow) that came to the council chamber assured me he would have a patch that would work with the A.I, within a short period of time. I kept D3 with me and sent the other units to record, map, and search the ship's layout, Until we had use of the ships A.I. that was as good as we could do. In the last 17 years we have set free 229 races enslaved by the Kreb. We now have a working Federation of Sentient Beings (the FSB) that promotes trade and free exchange of ideas for the betterment of all races. Sounds great and that is the intent regardless of the few who always want to subjugate someone else. I have hung up my Armor suit and now have been relegated to a REMF position which pays great but I do miss the excitement. The end |
