I couldn't find "PhantomZone" on Discord. I just joined Discord to find ATS refugees and tried all kinds of keywords with no good results. Wait, found OmegaLogos's invite link in another thread here.
I have been lurking as a guest at ATS and the banter is hilarious without moderation. The auto-censor is taking out the naughty words, but the nasty insults and over-the-top comments are great.

So sad, and yet so funny to watch the jackals misbehaving while they can. The truly sad part is the hault in information. All that's been posted all day is new/old introductions, and preacherman running his usual con and the rumorsof it all.
What a shame. I predict that site is dead and gone for good now. I don't think it will bounce back.

I've actually done that, sort of. I tracked a hacker down that had pissed me off, and deleted his Windows installation - his entire operating system - across the internet. Then I posted a message to him on his screen, let it sit for about 30 seconds (the computer will continue operating off of the OS loaded into RAM until it is turned off), and turned his computer off, also across the internet. Didn't hear from him any more for a while. He was very displeased, but them's the breaks.

Me too. It's sort of sad to watch, but you can't tear your eyes away, like a train wreck. Some of it is hilarious, but mostly just sad. It confirms my belief that people will out themselves if given half a chance to do so.

I noticed in one thread that "DarkOwner" misspelled a word, the Internet Spelling Police called him out on it, and "SimulationEvidence" is the one that replied to it as if he were "DarkOwner", saying something like "Engrish not my first rangruage" which was a hilarious way to out himself.
I also saw a lot of folks calling "DarkOwner" out on his signature, which apparently was a tell, but I couldn't see what the sig said since I was just lurking, so I reckon I'll never know. He has since changed it because of the pounding he took over it.
But I really don't think Josiah took ATS down. I just don't think he's got the hacker chops to carry it off. There was a lot of chatter about him hacking ATS, stealing e-mail addresses from the database, and then spamming members, but I don't think he did a hack like that to get the addresses, either, for the same reason I think, personally, that he got the e-mails from spoofing a site or a Discord server (or maybe both) and attracting victims to that, collecting their e-mails as they signed up. Another big collection point he was running was to run "riddles" where people had to E-MAIL the answers to him. That's kind of a no-brainer that your e-mail address is going to be compromised the instant you send that e-mail.
He was all to eager at the time to claim credit for taking ATS down the last time - which I don't think he had anything to do with, see above - and the memory of those claims seems to have carried over to the current situation and made a sacrificial goat out of him.

Yeah, I think that poster has at least 3 sock accounts over there - all 3 use the same language and syntax, and none of them appear to be of native English speakers, or else his education level stopped at about the 3rd grade. It looks like he created that one just because he has a jones for DB - I think just thinking about DB gets him all wet and slobbery. The same account has made other accusations against DB in other threads over there.
(@DBCowboy - if you decide to respond to him, you're welcome to use that turn of phrase with my compliments)
And yeah, if you're going to look at it, look as a "guest". I'm not about to log in over there. As a matter of fact, I'm running script blockers every time I go over there just to peek at something, just in case there WAS a hack. I don't want to catch the gunge on this machine from a dirty script a malicious hacker may have injected over there. Think of script blockers as a condom for your computer...

If it's a heifer-heifer, then once you've stuck your arm all the way up one to turn a breech calf around, the magic of a mere image is gone. It loses some of it's impact I reckon.

They're already linking porn sites, most of what I've seen are links to Porn Hub. Porn Hub won't let me see what they're carrying on about, because I live in Virginia. I get a neat little splash screen about how Virginia Censors don't want me viewing nasty shit, which I would not have known had they not posted the links - VA never publicized that law that I heard of, so were it not for the links, I'd have been blissfully unaware of my State censors trying to keep me safe from the ravages and mental shock and agony of seeing nekkid wimmins.
I've asked myself the question of why they don't just block the site from the internet while they work on it - maybe put up a splash screen saying "under maintenance" or something. That by itself makes me wonder if the owner(s) even still have access to the back end. If they're running Cisco equipment, their goose might be cooked.

I couldn't get in to the Discord - they wanted an e-mail and a password, neither of which I could recall from the last time I tried. I couldn't keep up with Discord anyhow, so I abandoned it the last time after about two tries.
Being an old curmudgeon has it's drawbacks i reckon.

I had similar thought last evening. In a C# programming course, I learned passwords are always encrypted stored (at best) and then the password typed by the user on login is also encrypted with the same method and then compared. So the broken login function could be a bad actors way to make people reset passwords and fish for the clear text passwords. To use them in combination with the email stored and or fish for more email addresses and pw combinations.
Knowing a bit C#, there would be ways to make it invisible to the users. By catching the password in the program before the encryption part, save it to another hidden data table and let the users login as normal. Just kill their login status as "not logged in" so everyone has to log in again and taddaaa....
Strategically, breaking old logins from a bad actor makes no sense other than to boast. Maybe it's a bone thrown by the bad actor to only punish "the stupid ones" and have some kind of twisted moral balance.
Or just a technical issue and not a bad actor at all.
