Costa Rica declares state of emergency over migrant crisis after record quarter of a MILLION people crossed through treacherous jungle to reach US this year

President Rodrigo Chaves said on Tuesday he has ordered officials to declare a state of emergency as the number of migrants passing through the small Central American nation after crossing from South to Central America through the jungle jumped sharply, reaching 386,000 in 2023 alone.'The people that arrive are passing across Costa Rica trying to get to the United States, basically... I have instructed the security ministry to take a firm stance with anyone who takes Costa Rica's kindness for weakness,' Chaves said at a press conference, referencing recent riots by migrants crossing the country.
While the migrants are only passing through Costa Rica, they often stay in transit countries like the tourist haven for weeks or months while they make money to continue their journey. These migrants have filled refugee camps in the country, as well as in others such as Panama and Mexico.
Chaves said he will allow the migrants to get to the north of the country, and transport them via buses, but 'disrespect' towards authorities will not be allowed,' as reported by The Tico Times.The migrant presence in Costa Rica has increased as a record number of asylum seekers cross the dangerous 575,000-hectare jungle called the Darien Gap, which connects Colombia and Panama and serves as a route to the US for desperate migrants.The dangerous jungle crossing has been reduced from over a week to as little as two days for the strongest walkers, by a network of guides, established camps and rudimentary trail markers that start in the Necocli, on Colombia’s side of the gap.Venezuelan migrants in Huehuetoca said the Darien operation appears to be dominated by Colombian paramilitary groups, which funnel part of their proceeds to Panama’s autonomous Indigenous groups.

Smoke and mirrors. if they were serious about securing their country, and actually the entire hemisphere, they'd put concertina, mines, and machine-gun emplacements all across their border. As a matter of fact, I'd be good with every single Central American country doing that, and I'd even be ok with US tax dollars going to assist them in securing their borders - if they were serious about it, and started leaving bodies to rot in the jungle when folks decided invading their country was a good idea.
Nothing good has ever come of invasion conquests. The Roman Conquest was bad for Europe, and killed off the native cultures, the European Conquest of America was bad for the indigenous folks, and killed off culture after culture, and this Latino Conquest of North America will be no different. Rich white Liberals will scream just as loud as everyone else when they start putting us on extermination reservations - on the poorest, lest productive, least desirable lands, while taking over the rich lands we once held - and sending our kids to re-education camps to indoctrinate them in the new dominant Latino culture... and forcing them to learn Spanish, forbidding the speaking of English... and calling it a "school", but by then the damage will have been done,
People will laugh at me, call me paranoid, racist, and every other name in the book, but I am going by solid history, the facts of what has happened in every other invasive conquest in the history of mankind. Every. Single.One.
Human nature does not change, and there is no reason to expect it will be any different this time. If you have any intention of defending your culture, you have to get started BEFORE the invaders reach a critical mass. If you wait until afterwards, you will have already lost and just not know it.
It beats the hell out of my funny bone that Liberals decry "colonization" and "colonialism" while, at the same time, pushing for the colonization of America, Sweden, Europe as a whole, etc. I think there is a name for that sort of mental aberration..."cognitive" something or other...
