I just noticed this and I found it very interesting and serendipitous.

We found Nebuchadnezzar on July 3, 2023.

This was the same day and just a couple hours after Mother got the report that she had breast cancer.

This was also the day that Tamar and Goliath were born in 2018.

Nebuchadnezzar was on his last legs. Tiny, emaciated, sunburned, and weighing 3 pounds.

He weighs today a whopping 8 pounds. The same as he did on 8/30/2023, and he eats freely, and a lot. He eats more than monster Enoch at 25 pounds and lightweight Sylvester at 22 pounds, put together. Yep the monster cats the spawn of a neighbor's Maine Coon mix.

Nebuchadnezzar fits the perfect description of the Bombay cat and he has become Mother's Siamese twin. He still holds on to his Bad Baby ways and he show no interest in going outside, unlike Enoch and Sylvester. They make a mad dash for the outside the moment there is a tiny crack in the door. Not Nebuchadnezzar. You can hold the door wide open for him, and he will look at you like you are crazy, turn his back and walk back in the house.

I think Nebuchadnezzar is about as big as he is going to get. Our little Halloween cat, right on time.

Those that have been following the story of Nebuchadnezzar, you know that my sister, who is not a pet person, fell in love with Nebuchadnezzar, and nick named him "Bad Baby".

Well today he spent almost the whole day either in my Mothers lap or stretched out on her bed. 

Around 2:30pm, Mom got up to get something to eat and to drink. Normally Nebuchadnezzar follows her like a shadow, especially when she goes into the kitchen. This time for some reason he stayed in the recliner.

Mom's phone was on the table, and for some reason he decided to knock it onto the chair and was playing with it, and he some how dialed my sister.

When Mom came back into the room, she could hear a voice saying "Hello!" "Hello!" She found Nebuchadnezzar lying on the phone, and when she answered it, she could see that it was my sister on the phone.

My Mom was a little surprised to see my sister on the phone, and told her that she did not hear the phone ring. My sister told her, that she didn't hear the phone ring because my Mom called her.

Mom said she didn't call her, she was in the kitchen and did not have her phone with her. She said she found her phone because she heard her voice, but didn't see it because Nebuchadnezzar had been lying on top of the phone.

My sister was ecstatic. She said she could not believe that Bad Baby had called her. She spent almost 10 whole minutes talking to him, and he just stared at the phone occasionally meowing.

I found out about it right away because she had to text me and let me know that Bad Baby had called her and that she talked to him over the phone.

Coincidence? Accident?

With Nebuchadnezzar, also known as Bad Baby, we will never know.

It's nice he leaves you presents.  LOL

Chucky likes to sneak out at night.  If we leave him out all night, I have to be careful walking out to go to work.  There is always a dead mouse on the mat.

Cats are murderous by nature. They do kill their fair share of vermin though.

Not really a cat person myself. I know there's a couple down in barn and we keep our distance from one another. My buddy's got one that sleeps with him too, so I doubt they got fleas.

My neighbor.
My brother.
My sister.
My nephew.

Four so far, that said they are not cat people, so I am going to have to go with the idea that Nebuchadnezzar, aka Bad Baby, aka Bad Ass Baby, is not a cat.

Because all four of those non cat people have been smitten by the little, weird, mysterious, feline.

He is indeed interesting.
