SEPT 30, 2024: ISRAEL AT WAR - DAY 360

The Great Purge Continues...

Speaking with mayors of Israeli northern border communities, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says "the next stage of the war against Hezbollah will begin soon," further hinting that Israel is expected to launch a ground offensive in Lebanon.

"The next phase in the war against Hezbollah will begin soon, it will be a significant factor in changing the security situation and will allow us to complete the  important [mission] of returning the residents to their homes," Gallant says.

"We will do this. And as I said here a month ago [that] we will shift the center of gravity [to the north], this is what I say now: We will change the situation and return the residents home," he adds.

Why announce you're about to invade? A warning to the non-combatants to run for the hills? Not sure where is safe zone. A bunker is a tomb.

Quote:Deep intelligence penetration enabled Israel to kill Hassan Nasrallah

Benjamin Netanyahu was required to give permission to undertake the attack from New York, where the Israeli prime minister had given a bellicose speech at the UN general assembly. There was, presumably, felt to be little time to wait.

According to an unsubstantiated report in the French newspaper Le Parisien, the mole who informed the Israelis that Nasrallah was on his way to the bunker was Iranian. If true, it would be eye-catching, given that Iran is Hezbollah’s principal backer.

Video released by the Israel Defense Forces on Saturday of the jets “taking off for the strike from Hatzerim airbase” showed eight US-made F-15Is. One taking off is laden with multiple missiles, under the wings and at the rear. Experts said they appeared to be American-manufactured BLU-109 2,000lb bombs, of the class the Biden administration had decided to withhold from Israel in the summer amid concerns about their use in densely populated Gaza.

Justin Bronk, an aviation expert with the Royal United Services Institute (Rusi) thinktank, said the Israeli air force would have probably used 2,000lb joint direct attack munition (JDAM) guided missiles fitted with penetrating fuses designed to explode after a building or the ground is struck. Israeli air force officers said that during the attack, named Operation New Order, about 100 munitions were used and that bombs were dropped “every two seconds”.

Red October 1, 2024: ISRAEL AT WAR - DAY 361

WWIII in the fog of war is once again trending. Estimated 180 missiles were launched from Iran amid the attack on Israel. Headlines saying Israel getting hit with the largest ballistic missile attack in history.

Wonder if Iran could have done this and other things without the billions of Dollars the current USA regime has given them ?  I think not... Tappingfoot MinusculeWTF

RE: Israel at War - airstrikes in Lebanon - EndtheMadnessNow - 10-02-2024

This was lost in news of the missile bombardment. Israel eliminated Muhammad Qasir who led Hezbollah’s global finance and weapons network. This will likely further cripple Hezbollah’s criminal enterprise.

The US State Dept had a $10 million bounty for Muhammad Ja’far Qasir head. Another big win for Israel.

Not one American boot is needed on the ground in Iran to decisively deal with the head of the snake in Tehran. Trump imo instinctively understood this during his time in office, which is why the conventional (backwards thinking) national security types took issue. A weak USA means an unstable world.

Story of the Kamalarkey-Bai Den Jao administration: Act weak. Invite conflict. Blame your allies. Shit hits the fan. Play catch up in a disorganized and incompetent way.

In 2019, even the New York Times admitted that the Trump sanctions on Iran meant Hezbollah fighters weren’t getting their paychecks.

Today, Hezbollah fighters are getting bonuses thanks to Kamala and Joe.

In an Op-Ed written by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken which was published today, Blinken writes:

Quote:The Biden administration’s strategy has put the United States in a much stronger geopolitical position today than it was four years ago. But our work is unfinished. The United States must sustain its fortitude across administrations to shake the revisionists’ assumptions. It must be prepared for the revisionist states to deepen cooperation with one another to try to make up the difference. It must maintain its commitments to and the trust of its friends. And it must continue to earn the American people’s confidence in the power, purpose, and value of disciplined American leadership in the world.

This is what some would call Soviet-level cognitive dissonance.

This short vid I think provides some context (thinking ideology) on Israel (Bibi's) actions on Lebanon and all their Mullah enemies.

What The Rebbe Told Bibi Netanyahu About A War In Lebanon:

Even the Rebbe called the UN "the house of darkness" from 40 years ago.

Vid description:
In 1984, Benjamin Netanyahu, then Israel’s UN Ambassador, had a pivotal meeting with the Rebbe. The Rebbe shared critical lessons that are more relevant than ever now, in light of current events in Lebanon. In this video, Rabbi Elkanah Shmotkin, JEM’s director, shares insights into that pivotal conversation, and the Rebbe’s timeless advice on avoiding repeated mistakes, consolidating military gains, and how to assure God's continued blessings while Israel's security establishment does everything possible to achieve victory and security.

More big boom strikes in the coming days/weeks I'm sure.

Anyone else see the video of the poor Palestinian bastard who had a missile land right on him?  Apparently that's the only person these missile strikes killed.  It's a good thing there weren't more casualties, but that makes this whole attack look like more posturing.

Yep. Posted the vid clip in my meme thread.
Although, it appears a tragicomical death: https://x.com/IsraelMFA/status/1841224280991781207

A supposed 181 missiles fired and only ONE person killed? Not even an Israeli. That's an embarrassing kill ratio. Arm chair speaking, it seems Iran is not much of a threat.

Intense Israeli airstrikes south of Beirut just a short while ago (just after midnight localtime) were targeting a meeting of senior Hezbollah leadership in a deep underground bunker. Various reports are presuming the possible successor to the group’s recently assassinated leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has now been eliminated. WoW if true. Iran must be shaking their heads wondering how does Israel locate and target Hezbollah leaders.

Sky News Arabia also reports that Hashim Safi Aldiyn (Hashem Safieddine) was the target of the huge airstrikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut. According to Wikipedia he was considered the No. 2 in Hezbollah before Nasrallah was killed.

Here's one vid clip of the bombardment campaign:

Maroun al-Ras is strategically important as it overlooks the surrounding towns. The village's elevation is 911 meters or 2,989 feet.

During the Battle of Maroun al-Ras of the 2006 Lebanon War, the village was partly occupied by Israel, which claimed it was a stronghold for Hezbollah and one of the launching points for rocket attacks on northern Israel.

Bibi wants the entire population of southern Lebanon to relocate north of Tyre. Tyre is the fourth largest city in Lebanon after Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon, and Baalbek.

Tyre is of biblical importance and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Tyre was the great Phoenician city that reigned over the seas and founded prosperous colonies such as Cadiz and Carthage and according to legend, was the place of the discovery of purple pigment.

Israel's long term plan is likely to extend the state of Israel and years from now will have settlers building homes in what was southern Lebanon. Israel wants to do the same for the West Bank, which technically belongs to Syria. Israel has also been conducting air strikes on Syria's capital, Damascus.

I think with Bibi's continued escalation in lighting the entire ME on fire he is hoping the US will get directly involved in taking out Iran. If Trump gets back in the oval office we may see serious de-escalation from day one. If Kamala wins, prepare for WWIII, at the very least more war escalation and a major world order disruption regardless which side you stand on.

Quote:With US military support, Israel shifts Middle East power balance

Israeli military strikes are targeting Iran’s armed allies across a nearly 2,000-mile stretch of the Middle East and threatening Iran itself. The efforts raise the possibility of an end to two decades of Iranian ascendancy in the region, to which the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq inadvertently gave rise.

In Washington, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and Arab capitals, opponents and supporters of Israel's offensive are offering clashing ideas about what the U.S. should do next, as its ally racks up tactical successes against Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen and presses its yearlong campaign to crush Hamas in Gaza.

Israel should get all the support it needs from the United States until Iran's government “follows other dictatorships of the past into the dustbin of history,” said Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at Washington's conservative-leaning Foundation for the Defense of Democracies — calls echoed by some Israeli political figures.

Going further, Yoel Guzansky, a former senior staffer at Israel’s National Security Council, called for the Biden administration to join Israel in direct attacks in Iran. That would send "the right message to the Iranians — ‘Don’t mess with us,’'' Guzansky said.

Not a good plan, imo.

Continuing...

Quote:Ultimately, Israel “will be in a situation where it can only protect itself by perpetual war,” said Vali Nasr, who was an adviser to the Obama administration. Now a professor at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, or SAIS, he has been one of the leading documenters of the rise of Iranian regional influence since the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu giving limited weight to Biden administration calls for restraint, the United States and its partners in the Middle East are “at the mercy of how far Bibi Netanyahu will push it,” Nasr said, referring to the Israeli leader by his nickname.

“It's as if we hadn't learned the lessons, or the folly, of that experiment ... in Iraq in 2003 about reshaping the Middle East order,” said Randa Slim, a fellow at SAIS and researcher at the Washington-based Middle East Institute.

Advocates of Israel’s campaign hope for the weakening of Iran and its armed proxies that attack the U.S., Israel and their partners, oppress civil society and increasingly are teaming up with Russia and other Western adversaries.

According to Israel’s Ynetnews, Israeli police are charging US journalist Jeremy Loffredo of @TheGrayzoneNews with “aiding the enemy during wartime and providing information to the enemy” for reporting on the Israeli military targets hit by Iran earlier this month. His X account has been locked.

RE: Israel at War - airstrikes in Lebanon - Ninurta - 10-11-2024

I believe the West Bank technically belongs to Jordan rather than Syria. It's the Golan Heights that were Syrian turf.

I don't thi9nk Israel would colonize southern Lebanon. That wouldn't solve anything, it would just push the Israeli border farther north, still without any kind of buffer zone from enemy emplacements. I think it would be a better idea to simply say "If you live in southern Lebanon, you are living within our buffer zone, and may be subject to random violence."

See, Lebanon is allowing attacks from it's territory by Hezbollah into Israel, so it is incumbent on Lebanon to supply the landscape for a buffer zone, not Israel. It would be different if Israel were the one allowing it's territory to be used for terrorist attacks against Lebanon, but that's not he case.

The West Bank is a sticky problem. I personally think it should belong to Israel as spoils of war from the Six Day War, but my personal ideas plus a couple of dollars will get a cup of coffee at McDonald's.

Whatever it is, and whomever it belongs to, it should not be allowed as a staging area for Palestinian terrorists to attack Israel from. Israel should have figured out b now via the West Bank experience that buffer zones don't work if you allow the enemy to occupy them, and they don't work if you colonize them and thus put your borders that much closer to the enemy - it ceases to be a buffer zone when you do that.

Gaza should be sanitized, and then annexed to Israel. Otherwise, it's just a mostly useless strip of land that is only good as a staging area and forward operating base for enemy combatants.

Remaining Palestinians should be housed in the nations that are "supporting" them, and integrated into those nations. After all, that's where they originally came from, rather than Israel. History books won't tell you that little tidbit of information.

Ninurta - I often get confused on ME geography. Yes, I should of said Jordan, not Syria.

The Iron Dome & Arrow defense systems must be getting low. THAAD battery is cheaper I'm not sure.
Maybe Bibi is planning a big response. He did say it will be painful and now preppin for Iran's counter response. Time will tell.

Secretary Austin authorized the deployment of a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery to Israel

Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), formerly Theater High Altitude Area Defense, is an American anti-ballistic missile defense system designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles in their terminal phase (descent or reentry) by intercepting with a hit-to-kill approach. THAAD was developed after the experience of Iraq's Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War in 1991. The THAAD interceptor carries no warhead, instead relying on its kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming missile, aka "Kinetic Kill technology."

The THAAD system is designed, built, and integrated by Lockheed Martin as prime contractor. Key subcontractors include Raytheon, Boeing, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Honeywell, BAE Systems, Oshkosh Defense, and MiltonCAT.
