I will let you know how it works out next Tuesday around 10 am. I cancelled my home Internet on May 11th. So I will be going the full disconnect. I will be going dark until then
I know I will miss communicating with my fellow Rogues, and browsing TOS, but I think it is a much needed disconnect.

Sad to hear. I do not have a cell phone or mobile phone. Just a landline and live off this flamin laptop;. Wanted to go cold turkey but I use this medium and don't watch TV. Like watching You tube vids.

Well, I guess I didn't learn anything I didn't already know from my little experiment.
I don't like social media sites and I don't belong to any.
I only visit two forums, and only participate in one.
I started with ATS in 2009. I tried a few others over the years and left after short amounts of time, because I could not deal with the toxic and pathological environments.
When ATS went down, I received an invite to RN, and found it was a pleasant place to hang out, and stayed. So I hung out and participated at both places.
When ATS went down the last time, I was knocked out and could not get back in. Re-registering is not an option for me. I am done with social media, forums, and any other internet sites that require log-ins.
I am too old, time is short, and I have to pick my battles wisely. I have been preparing myself for the great blackout, and I just proved to myself that I will miss the players, but not the game.

I can't remember what grade I was in, 1st, 2nd maybe? But I had a teacher, Mrs McNab. She made a big deal about my reading skills and told me reading could take me anywhere and to keep up my love of books.
It really meant something to me, because we moved around so much before 5th grade, I would only be at a school for about 6 months and I usually tried to "disappear" in a new classroom
Still today, while I have and use an e-reader, I prefer actual books.
