I say to the prince ... send your own troops.
It's YOUR backyard so YOU clean it up.
Iran is predominantly Shia , Saudi Arabia is a Sunni-majority country.
Seems like others in the region want America to do their dirty work too , doesn't it.

The Shi'a and Sunni branches of Islam have been fighting and trying to kill each other off since there have been Sunni and Shi'a. I don't see any reason they should balk at fighting now.
Saudi Arabia - and all the other Sunni countries - can send their own damned "boots on the ground" if that's what they want. The US is good with giving them air support.
One potential problem, though, is that Sunnis don't have any compunction against killing Shi'a civilians - they're pretty much the same as the mullahs to a Sunni. They see all "takfir" as combatants, and they see all Shi'a as takfir. That might be somewhat moderated if the troops are State actors rather than irregulars like ISIS and al-Qaeda. State actors are more likely to be held to Geneva Convention standards. Irregulars rarely if ever are.
I doubt it would be hard to convince a Sunni majority nation that trading a Shi'a-based government in Iran for a secular government is a great idea - it's a step towards disempowering Shi'ites, which I'm pretty sure they'd see as a good idea.
