NBC is getting flamed for trying to justify and defend... which is causing more crap to come out.

The twitter comments are GOLD.

NBC News says LGBT activists chanting "we're coming for your children" is "taken out of context." Come peek at the brutal fact checks and replies.

Quote:NBC News is here to let you know that the drag marchers in New York City aren't coming for your children when they say they're coming for your children.

We reported, along with multiple other outlets, about New York City's drag march where this "coming for your children" phrase was chanted loudly and proudly.

The phrase was first made popular by the San Francisco Gay Men's Choir, which our fearless leader Adam Ford had a hand in exposing.

According to multiple Drag March regulars, the "coming for your children" variation has been used before. Last year, Gothamist reported, people at the Drag March chanted, "Ten percent is not enough: Groom! Groom! Groom!"

It is still just a troll, dude, and goes back to the 70s and Anita Bryant's Save the Children campaign. It's the same fear mongering trope used against "colored folks" even before that.

There's nothing quite as amusing as watching those being played like a fiddle by their bias confirming media, even as annoying and sad as it may be.

Actually didn't realize it all goes way back before my time/understanding. Apparently, every decade a new twist is added for shock doctrine effect to keep the movement alive.

I had forgotten all about Anita Bryant until recently when she has suddenly been resurrected from her grave. Same for Falwell and his "Moral Majority". I had forgotten all about them, too, until they suddenly and very recently got resurrected again. I lived within driving distance of Lynchburg and Liberty College at the time, and still everyone around there thought they had all lost the plot!

I never thought there was anyone that took any of their bullshit seriously, but I guess I was wrong - some folks evidently did, and evidently still do. I never did take them serious, and none of the people I knew in those days did, either. They were just the butt of many a joke among us, and now, 40 years later, I can't believe anyone ever did take them seriously, much less all the way to today.

We used to crack jokes about orange juice, and threatened to boycott it because - look what it did to Anita Bryant! We certainly didn't want to catch the stupid from it! Same for the Moral Majority - We had a saying that the Moral Majority was neither - not moral, and sure as hell not a majority!

It would be hilarious, if it wasn't so sad, that there are folks still today that took them so seriously that they are still terrified of them, this long after their deaths. That right there is some power from the grave, I tell ya! Even that dumbassed partisan Progressive lawyer lady that @Freija posted a video from in another thread, the one that cannot sense any "fake news" unless it's Conservative fake news, was carrying on about them - in a modern video! Talk about living rent-free in someone's head! Now even their graves must be in there, and they seem to have taken up permanent residence in some heads!
