I wonder what is the reference number , pre-2019 ? how many usually die per year ?

Many were baby boomers so it is that time to say goodbye to them. I first thought of vaccinations but many were in their 70s,80, and a few in their 90s.

There has always been someone every few years having a medical emergency which usually results in the non flying pilot taking over and landing the aircraft.
The only thing I know is what I have read at various sites such as ATS about excess pilot medical problems. I am glad I was and am retired before all this stuff hit the fan..
A friend from Australia has been vaxed with 4 jabs. He got COVID and was down for almost a solid month. 4 or 5 months ago I tested positive and did not play golf for 3 days as I had a runny nose and seemed to be tireder than usual but I am not vaxed.
My friend is now pissed he got all the vaccinations as they did not stop him from getting COVID.. Everyone is different so go figure ??!! hahah

They really screwed air personels with the covid safe and effective shots . Dr.William Makis has been writing the pilot health related incidents , it does look like awfully many pilot got health issues lately .
