Making Porn Legit and billions of dollars - 727Sky - 03-12-2023

The broadcast by 60 minutes Australia quotes some numbers that some may find surprising. I had no idea how many people every second clicked on a porn site..? It would appear there are those who keep pushing to make Porn acceptable to the majority and not something hidden behind some brown paper wrapper... Is this more proof there is a slide to decadence for a human society ?? The religious folks would probably think and say so. I have never been into porn as I seem to have always had a girlfriend/woman that kept me from lacking a sexually fulfilled life.... and in my younger days I was definitely a type "A" personality which means I was in conquest mode !! It helped being overseas for many years, as far as sexual gratification, since a guy could get laid for around $5 if they liked you and $7.50 if they didn't hahahha That was all before AIDS became a thing or just about any of the other "make you Pee Pee turn black and fall off" we hear about today.. Thank heavens !!

Funny. The linked video is 'age restricted'. Guess the porn industry does have 'standards' when it comes to exposure.

It's a dirty business. I don't see any 'good' that comes from it. Does that mean it falls into the category of 'evil'? The excuse that it's art ... was always total BS.

If it was put up for a vote, I'd vote to get rid of it.

I don't know...

I may never want to look at something. I may not approve of it. I may think there are all kinds of problems with it. That's fair. If you feel that way, I support your opinion. 100%.

But at the same time, what an adult looks at or doesn't look at (provided it's legal) is their own business. Either way, it is not my right to interfere with your right.

Do we really want more laws? More Fed interference under the guise of public safety? Once that door gets opened, it morphs into something uncontrollable. Think masking and mandates.

I've not got anything against porn per se. Whatever floats yer boat, and all that. Personally, I've never viewed sex as a spectator sport, so, like football, baseball, basketball, etc., I've never seen the draw to just watch something you aren't a participant in. I don't watch sports, either, for the same reason. If I'm not in the thick of it, I can't figure out a reason to just sit and watch it. But I'm not everyone, and to each his own.

Still, without porn, we probably wouldn't have the internet, either. Even in the early days of the internet, and continuing through today and into the future, porn has driven a whopping 1/3 of the internet, and without it the internet would be much smaller and less accessible. Porn, and commerce, and later a combination of both, has driven internet development.

With that said, there are a growing number of people who have a distinct lack of impulse control, and an inability to distinguish fantasy from reality. Those folks can, and sometimes do, make the world a dangerous place for other folks because of those qualities within themselves. Note that i say "within themselves". The problem is not the porn itself, it's what some of those idjits DO rather than with what they WATCH. Watching is harmless, translating that into action, in combination with poor impulse control and an inability to distinguish, make life rough for others.

I'm a live and let live kinda guy. Problems arise when some others are not. Their "live and let live" translates into "I'll live the way I want, and make YOU live the way I want, too." That creates ugly situations in all areas of life, porn included, but not limited to porn.

So, while I don't think porn should be banned, or even severely curtailed, I DO think that certain circumstances call for a serious whomping on some folks who try to force their fantasies on other folks. The problem is not with the product, it's with the psyche of an increasing number of humans who don't quite know what to do with it. Just as with guns, I don't think the product needs regulation nearly as much as the folks who improperly use it, the miscreants of the world, need a culling.

Folks who don't abuse their freedoms should be left the hell alone to exercise them, just so long as they aren't forcing other folks into their own fantasies of power, control, or sex.

What has been called "the Wiccan's Rede" seems to have wise guidance here - "If it harm no other, then do what thou wilt".

The irony of "age-restricted" news vid. OK

Here's the vid on Bitchute

It was porn back in the 90s that boosted the filth industry to mega billions and created/drove the media streaming industry to what it has become today. It's a never ending money train at the expense of many human lives. Just imagine the kickbacks that some of these politicians & elitists gain from it. I think the sum of porn & bots make up half of Internet traffic, maybe more.
