Cooper's hill Cheese roll 2025 - Bonkers people being Bonkers - gortex - 05-26-2025

There's nothing more traditional in Britain than throwing yourself down a hill to capture an escaping cheese and today is the day thousands of people from around the World descend on Cooper's hill in Gloucestershire to take part in the tradition first mentioned in 1826 , the tradition is believed to be far older and part of Pagan festival to celebrate the return of spring , sadly today is a most unlike Spring day but cheese still needed to be caught.

Bumps , scrapes and bruises but nobody died and no cheeses were harmed

I've heard it said that 'Boffins' suggested that due to the injuries, shops were invented... I think!
