Ukraine Negotiating with Putin? - sailorsam - 11-07-2023

I've seen references in multiple news articles that Zelensky is being encouraged to negotiate with Putin to end the war.

They began amid concerns among U.S. and European officials that the war has reached a stalemate and about the ability to continue providing aid to Ukraine, officials said. Biden administration officials also are worried that Ukraine is running out of forces, while Russia has a seemingly endless supply,

the war does indeed look stalemated.  much was made of the Ukraine offensive this year, but it didn't go far.
the West is tired of $upporting the war.
and no doubt Russia has a huge manpower advantage.
Putin has shown willingness to push the issue, despite casualties, and whatever internal pressure he faces doesn't appear likely to change his mind any time soon.
so...hopefully they'll work something out before a whole generation of young Ukrainians dies.

Yep, I been seeing the same.

Quote:Ukraine's General Valery Zaluzhny surprised observers of the invasion this week with an unusually candid assessment that the warring parties had reached a deadlock along the sprawling front.

"Just like in the First World War, we have reached the level of technology that puts us into a stalemate," he told the British magazine, The Economist.

...
In Kyiv, residents of the capital praised Zaluzhny for telling the truth, and urged Ukrainian politicians to heed his words.

"We all hoped for the best, but we all prepared for the worst," said 19-year-old Krystyna walking near the iconic Maidan square with her mother.

And she warned against the consequences of not acting.

"All the guys and girls who died there, and all the civilians, and all the military, everything will have been in vain."

'We're losing': Ukrainians reel from war chief's stalemate warning

The currency of madness has diverted and the world's eyes & arms are now on Israel/Gaza war.

You bet.

I hope part of the negotiations include Putin getting to install his own puppet government ... and the full disclosure of all the corrupt US shenanigans that were going on to fire the whole thing up.

Of course the Biden admin is rooting for this to end. Gives America almost a year to forget about it before Biden checks out.

Whatever happened to Hunter and all the criminal charges that should put him away for the rest of his meaningful years?

If so, then I guess Biden and the rest of his criminal buddies have removed all evidence of suspicious laboratories and money laundering  Shocked
