SHTF and a survivor - 727Sky - 09-15-2023

I just started this  story of an unlikely Survivor...I did like the first few minutes..enjoy

I didn't really get very far into it, as it's 21 hours long, and I couldn't get it downloaded. So, if I'm in the middle of it and YT yanks it, there I'd be, unable to finish it.

None of the downloads worked for me, so I started it just to make sure there was actually some audio in it. I will note that Kevin Peirce is one of the narrators, and he is the one that Franklin Horton gets to read his audiobooks as well.

Speaking of Franklin, this interview with him just dropped about a month and a half ago, the day after my last birthday. Where he mentions that all of the characters were patterned after or inspired by his circle of friends here in the hills, that means me. I was the inspiration for the character of "Hugh" in his Borrowed World series. We actually did work together at the radio station years ago, just as he describes in his books.

I am 3:35 into the story and still interested...Pretty much worse case scenario of human behavior and enemies ...

Finished the entire series yesterday and enjoyed the story. Sorry it ended.

Wow!!

I started it, but it was a bit too slow (and a bit too contrived) for my tastes. After the second nodding off event I gave up.

Give me the spoilers. How'd it end?

Will check it out later.

I enjoyed the other one you recommended, "Flash".

Thanks

A new nation and a happy ending almost... Interesting how the author and characters went to no B.S. allowed with/from some of the protagonist which I can see happening
