Exactly! My Dear Old Dad taught me how to get along with "furriners", and it's really easy - you just have to respect their customs and cultural norms, and not generally be an asshole to them. He was in Germany after WWII, and the Germans all loved him where they generally disliked the other American soldiers. The difference being that most of the other soldiers were the typical "Ugly Americans", always trying to make the Germans conform to American cultural norms, and being assholes about it. Dad wasn't that way. Instead, he conformed to German norms, and was friendly to them rather than assholish.

It paid off for him at times. The Germans loved him so much that he could go AWOL, and they'd hide him from the MPs in their attics... and toss up a bottle of schnapps every now and then.

I took those lessons to heart, and they've paid off for me as well. I can get along with anyone who wants to be gotten along with. I've been told I could get along with Satan himself, although I've never tried that. I can be at home anywhere, from the ghetto (yes, I've lived in ghettos, even though I'm pretty much a white boy no one ever bothered me much) right up to hanging out with the rich folks. Same with hanging out in foreign nations. Be someone they can identify with, and you'll be accepted.

It all starts with just trying to understand their culture and conform to it rather than expecting them to conform to you. Learn the local language, that sort of thing.

There used to be a saying - "when in Rome, do as the Romans do."

analysis suggests. The biggest disparity was seemingly in Pendle, a borough inside Reform's newly

Latest Government data shows 453 asylum seekers are being housed in Pendle. In contrast, only nine
homeless households are in temporary accommodation. Critics of Britain's immigration policy have
seized upon the figures as proof we are ran by people who 'care more about illegal migrants than its

Sadnam Singh and Navjot Singh.

'Two delivery men who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl who was home alone leaving
her "crying hysterically" have been jailed. It happened in Preston, Lancashire, when Sadnam
Singh, 28, and Navjot Singh, 26, were delivering a television unit which the girl's mother had
bought from an online auction site.

Sadnam Singh pinned her against the wall and assaulted her while Navjot Singh watched and
laughed before he also attacked her, Lancashire Police said. The men, from Wolverhampton,
were found guilty of sexual assault following a trial at Preston Crown Court and each was
sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison.

The teenager had answered the door while her mother was at work before the men entered and
launched their attack.

'Horrible assault'
After they left, the girl locked the front door and "immediately phoned her mother, crying hysterically
as she told her what had happened". An investigation was launched and both men were arrested the
same morning in Preston. Det Con Ben Clegg said the victim was "assaulted in a place where she
should have felt safe - her own home". He added: "This was a horrible assault on a teenager and I
welcome the sentence imposed by the judge."...'

Quote:Reanne Coulson, 34, went missing in May and concerns were raised by her family after she failed to make contact with them on her birthday on 17 June.

Officers searching for Ms Coulson found a body in Binley Woods on Friday afternoon, West Midlands Police said.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Ms Coulson have been informed, officers added.

Mohammed Durnion was arrested as part of the investigation into her disappearance. The 42-year-old has now been charged with murder.

Gortex - How can they charge someone with Murder before they even ID the body?

I'm all for throwing murderers in jail, but stuff like this makes me wonder.

They haven't formally identified the body but they must have evidence either , DNA , clothing or other to make them believe it is the body of Reanne Coulson for them tell inform her family , as Durnion was arrested before the body was found there must be evidence that he could be linked to the disappearance so perhaps when faced with the evidence against him he told them where the body was hidden.

I guess more will be known when Durnion appears in court.

The key is probably the word "formal" in      the phrase "formal identification". It's likely that they have made positive identification, but have not made that identification "formal" by releasing the information to the public. There can be any number of reasons for doing that, although I suspect in this case it is to avoid an "islamophobic" backlash if they confirm everything to the general public. Another potential reason is so that any such disclosures don't compromise an ongoing investigation.

So I would say they have actually made a positive ID - why else crush the family by telling them? - but have not made it "formal" for one or more of several reasons..

RE: Britain Today - Kenzo1 - 06-29-2025

Iranian influence operation in UK was halted when Israel started the 12 day war against Iran .

Dozens of pro-Indy accounts go dark after Israeli strikes

Quote:On 12 June 2025, dozens of anonymous X (formerly Twitter) accounts advocating Scottish independence abruptly went silent. Many had posted hundreds of times per week, often using pro-independence slogans, anti-UK messaging, and identity cues like “NHS nurse” or “Glaswegian socialist.”
Their sudden disappearance coincided with a major Israeli airstrike campaign against Iranian military and cyber infrastructure. Within days, Iran had suffered severe power outages, fuel shortages, and an internet blackout affecting 95 percent of national connectivity.
What appeared at first glance to be a curious coincidence has since emerged as the most visible rupture to date in a long-running foreign influence operation. This was spotted first by the following account.

Quote:What emerges is a picture of a state actor, Tehran, deliberately using the Scottish independence issue to weaken its adversary by amplifying internal division.

“The timing, posting patterns, and network structure all point in one direction,” said Charles, a veteran open-source intelligence researcher who publishes under a pseudonym due to contractual restrictions.

“What we’re seeing is classic IRGC-linked activity: coordinated accounts posting at regular intervals, linguistic and thematic uniformity across profiles, and sudden synchronous silence. The kicker is infrastructure dependency. These accounts didn’t log off, they were cut off almost certainly because their command-and-control layer, likely hosted through Iranian VPN exit nodes or proxy managed access platforms, went down after the strikes. This kind of abrupt network wide halt is a textbook signature of an externalised influence operation losing its operational backend.”

Iranian objectives

Iran’s strategy is asymmetric. Lacking the economic leverage or conventional military reach of its Western adversaries, it has turned to covert online influence as a low-cost, high-impact tool for shaping perceptions and political fault lines abroad. Within this broader playbook, the UK has long been a target. Tehran sees Britain as a historic antagonist associated with colonial exploitation and perceived meddling in Middle Eastern affairs. Weakening the UK’s internal cohesion fits into Iran’s strategic objectives, and Scottish independence provides a compelling wedge issue.

RE: Britain Today - Ninurta - 06-29-2025

Interesting. I also noticed an abrupt cessation of what I assumed were spam bots coming out of Iran who were trying to create accounts here, at Rogue-Nation. They suddenly stopped trying to create accounts at about the same time the 12 Day War started. Just POOF! and they all disappeared.

Now if we could just convince the IDF to hit all of those other spammers, the world would be a better place to live!

Also, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that we've had none of those site offline problems since Israel gave Iran something else to worry about?

Things that make you go hmmmm.....

Oh wow! sounds like correlation ,if the spam bots trying to enter RN were then absent,  when the 12 day war operation rising lion started  Big Eyes

I agree , there is still a lot work to be done by IDF.

Ninurta, your correlation appears to be correct.  Guess the digital Jihadis have other balls to bounce at the moment.  But why were they interested in this site ?  That is just bizarre.

In other "modified behavior", Russian threats of using nukes have practically disappeared since The Donald became president.  And when off-his-Medsvedev brought up the topic, Trump made a point of commenting upon it on Truth Social, which in turn brought about a hasty "explanation" by Medvedev.

My working theory is that Iran was just "casting a wide net", looking for as many jumping-off points to base their bots as possible. Our relative obscurity on the internet stage may be, paradoxically, a bonus - who's gonna look for Propaganda Bots coming from such a dinky source?

Spammers in general have locked sights on us for some unfathomable reason. We get at least one, and often up to 5 or 6, joining attempts per day from spambots. The latest tactic, after we have defeated all the rest, is to try to gain an account with a link in the signature area to whatever it is they're spamming. Doesn't make sense, because if they don't actually post, the links don't actually show, unless you purposefully go looking for them by bringing up the spambot account. So why bother posting the links at all?

Don't go looking for those links, however - whenever I "purge spammer" an account, it removes their entire signature in the process, as well as banning the spambot and blocking their IP. So now, there are no links to see at all.

Over the last 2 weeks or so, Persian links so posted have completely disappeared and stopped trying, for some odd reason... thanks, IDF!

A Sky Documentary.

Quote:7/7: Homegrown Terror

On 7 July 2005, terrorist attacks struck London. Twenty years on, this Sky Original series reveals not just
what happened on 7/7, but how and why.
7/7: Homegrown Terror tells the definitive story of London’s most infamous terrorist attack, in which fifty-two
people were killed and 700 were injured. Told with unprecedented access to a range of perspectives, the series
weaves together first-person testimony, unseen archive footage, and extraordinary investigative detail.

Hear from key witnesses, survivors and their families, investigators, and voices connected to the perpetrators
– including the father of one of the attackers, the close friend of another, and a fellow Brit who attended a
training camp with the perpetrators.

Across three episodes, in advance of the 20th anniversary, the series unpacks the events of the 7 of July 2005
and the failed second attack two weeks later, exploring the manhunt that followed and the police shooting of
Jean Charles de Menezes. Uncovering new insights into the bombers’ lives and radicalisation, including their
personal histories and motivations, trips to training camps in Pakistan and their family life, 7/7: Homegrown
Terror pieces together a nuanced account of the personal, political and social forces behind a defining moment
in the nation’s history — and the scars it left behind.

The series will receive its world premiere at Sheffield DocFest later this month.
All episodes of 7/7: Homegrown Terror are available from 29 June on Sky Documentaries and NOW.
